This is why you apply pressure to and hold politicians accountable even if you support them. It’s your responsibility.

Seems like @HaleyforMI is super out of touch with the Black community.

the level of racism to arab and muslim people have been comfortable with this election cycle is genuinely dispicable. how can you feel comfortable being this evil
Sen. @tedcruz (R-TX) says that if U.S. Sen. candidate Abdul El-Sayed (D-MI) is elected into the Senate and is placed in the Senate Intelligence Committee, "there is a very real risk that Americans will die as a result."

The racism is flowing in one direction in this campaign and it's entirely directed at Abdul. Delusional to say otherwise. Just stay off TV for a couple days.

How come Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama can say it, but Haley Stevens can't?
Hillary Clinton: “His surrogates and a lot of the independent expenditure media is really fear-mongering against El-Sayed as a Muslim, trying to link him to the Muslim Brotherhood, Trump is doing that. I’m just tired of that and I hope people are tired of that. Judge somebody on who they are, what they stand for, what they produce. This is not about woke, this is about broke. If you can’t win on affordability, if you are bankrupting the country and enriching yourself personally, try to divert attention”

If you’re in the 6% of Dems who haven’t consolidated behind el-Sayed you get 10 TV interviews and an op-ed each. I like to think I follow this race closely and I have never once seen an interview or quote from the 9% of Republicans who aren’t committed to Rogers
"The researchers said Rogers has not consolidated Republicans (91%) as well as El-Sayed has consolidated Democrats (94%). Independents preferred El-Sayed to Rogers 52% to 38%" cbsnews.com/detroit/news/el-…
Can somebody explain why Haley Stevens is asking Abdul El-Sayed to…denounce Tucker Carlson?
I consider myself fairly plugged in but this is rather psychedelic
MrK retweeted
1. That's false. Carlson doesn't "praise" AES in the ad, he says: "I wouldn’t vote for Mike Rogers at gunpoint."
2. It's an ad AES is running on Fox so, yes, it contains quotes from right-wingers who the viewers trust and respect.
3. You were a fan of this strategy when it was Harris campaigning with Liz Cheney.
Replying to @ryangrim

Watching this interview now and Stevens is demanding that Abdul…. denounce Tucker Carlson and the Cenk ad. Has she gone insane.

The audacity to tell Dr.Abdul tu condemn ads while your fiancé endorsed a racist campaign against him is litterally insane

David Jolly should be thanking god everyday that Angie Nixon won her primary instead of Vindman.

Abdul wasn't supposed to survive the primary. Now he did, and they have to be too obvious with the ratfuck. A lot of "electability myths" are on track to be busted in midterms. Check out my breakdown of the myth here
Moderates underperform progressives in tight races. Consultants push them anyway because corporate donors fund them and consultants pocket commissions on TV ad buys. When a progressive wins a primary, the party cuts off the money to make "progressives can’t win" a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Ticket-splitting is dead, so the old moderate advantage no longer exists.
In Nebraska, the DCCC refused to air TV ads for progressive Kara Eastman, and she still nearly won. They replaced her with moderate Tony Vargas, flooded him with cash, and watched him do worse twice while union populist Dan Osborn won the district on the same ballot.
In 2020, every House Medicare for All co-sponsor won re-election, while every defeated Democrat opposed it.
Senate moderates Amy McGrath, Sara Gideon, and Theresa Greenfield burned through massive war chests only to collapse with working-class voters. Progressive Charles Booker matched McGrath in Kentucky on a fraction of the budget and beat her across rural Appalachia.
Red states routinely pass minimum wages, paid sick leave, and voucher bans while rejecting moderate Democrats on the same ticket. Now that Abdul El-Sayed, Angie Nixon, Booker, and N'Kiyla Thomas beat the machine in their 2026 primaries, don’t let party shills take credit when they overperform.

abdul el sayed and every muslim person around him has been called a radical islamic jihadist terrorist every single day by the entire political spectrum since he won the primary and i haven’t seen a single think piece or major media interview of an arab voter abt how this makes them feel. arab and muslim voters combined make up almost 4% of the electorate. jewish voters make up 1.4% & many of those jewish voters aren’t zionists or will let israel get in the way of preserving american democracy. so we’ve heard endlessly from a tiny group of potential spoiler voters who aren’t getting their way on a deeply unpopular issue- why?
If you're trying to understand why so many Michigan Jewish Democrats are defecting, I wrote in August about it. It's not, per se, about foreign policy. theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0…

If Haley Stevens was the nominee, and Abdul’s wife was voting for Mike Rogers and had donated tens of thousands of dollars to Susan Collins, I have a sneaking suspicion your response would not have been “Big Tent!”

I'm just gonna say it again: Haley Stevens went on CNN tonight, in primetime, for several minutes, and said not a word about the vicious and dangerous bigotry that he - and the Muslims of Michigan - have been targeted with by the party that her fiancee is voting for.
MrK retweeted
.@HaleyforMI why aren't you denouncing the vile anti Muslim and anti Arab bigotry unleashed by Republicans? What kind of Democrat are you?
MrK retweeted
Haley Stevens tells @kaitlancollins on CNN she wants ‘our Democratic nominee, his name is Abdul’ to win the Senate race and doesn’t plan to join her fiancée in voting for Mike Rogers. But now she’s attacking an Abdul ad for including Tucker Carlson and the ad (that isn’t from Abdul!) blaming Israel for higher grocery prices and wants AES to denounce them.

Francesca Hong lost her primary and still showed up to campaign for Crowley. She hasn’t spent her time sabotaging his campaign. Meanwhile, Haley Stevens is on CNN trashing Abdul with lies while her fiancé is supporting Republicans in Maine and Michigan. The contrast in character and commitment is glaring. What a loser.
