The study was a replication and extension of Cacchione et al 2011. They discovered that babies prefer Picasso to Monet. We decided to double check this and use a neural net style transfer to create a Monet-style Picassos and Picasso style Monets. reiinakano.com/arbitrary-ima…

Happening now..
In three hours time. 8pm BST today. Discover why you have babies to thank for your big brain, your long life and plenty more besides.
We're back! Melissa and baby Aster (8m) were the first visitors to @GoldsmithsUoL InfantLab since the pandemic. They took part in @zelish_k's new study of infant responses to music. Aster was asleep when she arrived but soon warmed up. She really liked her new t-shirt.

Had a fanastic conversation about Baby Psychology with Dr Nick Fortino for his "Psychology Is" podcast. It was great to be able to talk at length and in depth about the serious science of laughing babies. Nick is a great interviewer. youtu.be/Qwx5zXXuSBc

We have two online studies that you can do at home. 1. Dr Evelyne Mercure has a questionnaire study looking at language development and maternal well-being during lockdown. It is mostly appropriate for mothers of babies between 12 and 24 months. goldpsych.eu.qualtrics.com/j…

My standard response when I'm invited to editorial boards without recompense. I don't think working for free as a highly trained professional is or should be normal, & I think we need to continue to call this out clearly. The more of us do, the more likely things will change. 1/2
