Hyderabad is growing fast, and its roads are getting ready for it.
The government has sanctioned ₹2,254 crore through HMDA and HGCL to ease traffic and connect the city better:
🔹 Budvel Trumpet Interchange (₹488 Cr): a gateway linking Radial Road-2 with the ORR. It will give smooth access to Gachibowli, the airport and the upcoming Musi riverfront.
🔹 Elevated Corridor-III, ICCC to Shilpa Layout (₹1,656 Cr): a 9 km corridor in two phases that connects Banjara Hills, Filmnagar, T-Hub and Shilpa Layout, with signal-free access to the ORR at Gachibowli.
🔹 Pipeline Road widening, MGIT to Manikonda (₹110 Cr): a six-lane road that brings relief to Kokapet, Manikonda, Gandipet and Narsingi.

I sincerely hope this experiment of a dedicated bus corridor from KPHB to Waverock succeeds.
For this to work, last-mile connectivity also needs to be planned properly. This is a great opportunity to improve public transport in Hyderabad.
@TGSRTCHQ & @CYBTRAFFIC should plan last-mile options like mini shuttle buses (RTC and company buses), autos, ride-sharing apps and other options.
If travel time can be cut by more than half, people may actually switch to public transport and be willing to accept some minor inconvenience.

Trial Run Conducted to Examine Feasibility of Dedicated Bus Lanes from KPHB to Waverock:
As a follow-up to earlier discussions with the Transport Department and TGSRTC, a trial run was conducted to examine the feasibility of providing a dedicated lane for TGSRTC and IT-company buses from KPHB to Waverock, aimed at facilitating faster movement during peak hours and reducing traffic congestion.
The trial run was conducted along with road and city-planning experts to assess traffic flow, road capacity and the feasibility of the proposed dedicated bus facility, with minimal stops to enable faster bus movement. The trial run also examined traffic movement and the feasibility of measures to reduce congestion on the JNTU–Biodiversity corridor, particularly during peak hours.
Sri Sunpreet Singh, IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Cyberabad; Smt. Sheshadrini Reddy, IPS, DCP Traffic-II, Cyberabad; ED Sridhar, TGSRTC, Sri Naved Alam Khan, CEO, SCSC, along with other officers and concerned officials, were present during the trial run.

In the first 8 months of 2026, India added 100 GCCs and Hyderabad alone accounted for 40%, ahead of Bengaluru (33), Pune (18), Chennai (8) and Mumbai (7).
40 GCCs in 8 months.
That means more global companies, high-value jobs, office demand, infrastructure and a larger ecosystem for Hyderabad.
