On Saturday, September 26, 2026, Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt declared all 50 districts of the city disaster-affected areas due to severe flooding caused by persistent heavy rain.
Heavy rain had fallen almost continuously since the afternoon of September 24. In parts of the city, accumulated rainfall approached 300 mm (nearly 12 inches) in 48 hours, with the highest totals in eastern districts such as Min Buri (around 274–275 mm) and Khlong Sam Wa (around 273 mm).
This produced an estimated 28–30 million cubic meters of water.
