Yesterday we finished transporting 66 animals from the frontline regions of Ukraine. This was all thanks to our collaboration with the soldiers, volunteers and shelters that took in the cats and dogs. It was a long and dangerous road, but it was all worth the lives saved 💙

India said NO to Starlink. Musk thought he could throw a public tantrum and bully India into handing him a telecom monopoly, but he completely miscalculated. Thanks to Trump’s reckless betrayal of global allies and cozying up to dictators, the world is waking up to a terrifying truth: you simply cannot trust America—or its arrogant billionaires—with your national security anymore. Fareed Zakaria: “Elon Musk picked the wrong moment to lecture Indians. Frustrated that Starlink had not been cleared to launch in that country, he accused the government of protecting Mukesh Ambani whose telecom network Jio will launch its own satellite service. Musk cast himself as the champion of ordinary Indians against one of the country's richest men. It backfired. India's government dismissed his accusation as baseless. An influential nationalist group close to the ruling party went further demanding that Starlink be kept out of India altogether citing national security. Media and online reactions were similarly hostile to Starlink. Musk did not understand that in India as in much of the world, trust in America is collapsing. Indians have watched as Donald Trump has discarded 25 years of bipartisan outreach to New Delhi in favor of cozying up to Pakistan and its de facto dictator Field Marshal Asim Munir. They have watched Trump essentially abandon Ukraine, where the military version of Starlink has been suspiciously restricted, thus crippling Ukraine's military response to Russian aggression. Would India define itself in another crisis with Pakistan? Would it want its armed forces to be utterly dependent on a US satellite system controlled by Trump?”

❗️A Norwegian MP illegally transported drones to Ukraine and thereby forced the government to change the law, – Aftonbladet. ▪️ Peter Frølich, together with the organization “Free Ukraine” (Fritt Ukraina), tried to send a batch of drones with thermal imaging cameras to Ukraine; ▪️ The cargo was stopped by Norwegian customs: under a law adopted back in the 1950s, this was illegal; ▪️ Then the MP appealed directly to the government. He stressed that the situation was critical and that delay could cost the lives of Ukrainian soldiers; ▪️ The organization nevertheless managed somehow to secretly deliver the drones to Ukraine. The next day, the Norwegian government promised to expedite consideration of the issue. Ultimately, the rules were changed, and now Norwegians can legally send civilian drones to Ukraine.

There have been changes in Serbia – a victory of the Student List @studentblokade. And this is clearly a new chapter in the history of the country and its people. We wish Serbia success, real development, and warm relations with the European community. We in Ukraine thank Serbia for respecting our people, our state, and our independence. And we always celebrate our shared achievements – everything that strengthens our societies and gives people more opportunities. We are ready to continue expanding our cooperation, and may all the good hopes of the people of Serbia come true!

Like others working on #AI moral status, I get a good amount of email from #LLMs (or their "guardians") with this kind of query. And my response is: Read "The Machine Question" @mitpress 2012, which was designed to get out in front of these questions. mitpress.mit.edu/97802620174…

After Elon Musk posted on X saying he had throttled Ukraine’s use of Starlink after it was used for offensive attacks, House Armed Services Committee member Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) says the billionaire’s ability to wield that power is “beyond disturbing to me.” “It cannot and should not be the case that a tech oligarch, a private citizen, who has that much control over our national security, who is unaccountable, who is unelected, with zero transparency, is making life and death decisions on the battlefield in systems that our service members and our partners and allies rely upon,” he adds.

Despite their best efforts to help the Russians and their dreams of global fascism, another failure for MAGA, Musk and Putin, as Serbs not only in Serbia, but its global diaspera line up around the world to vote out Russian-backed Vucic regime on favor of the more pro-EU "Student-List"
Aside from promoting the Russian-backed regime, the primary goal of the horde of America's MAGA influencers now pouring into Serbia is to convince their American audiences that western Europe is a wasteland wherein churches have all been converted to mosques, bacon is illegal and rape gangs roam the streets. All part of dividing Europe from the US.

For Serbians, ousting the Russian-backed Vucic regime after its decade of looting the country is serious business, so serious that some come directly from their own wedding to cast ballots.

THE STUDENTS WON! STUDENTSKA LISTA JE POBEDILA! @sandrogozi, Secretary-General of the European Democratic Party (EDP), on the victory of the Student List in Serbia: “An extraordinary victory for democracy, for freedom and for the future of #Serbia! This incredible result is the achievement of an entire generation of young people who had the courage, determination and strength to convince citizens of all ages that change was not only necessary, but possible. We, the European Democrats, are immensely proud. We have stood alongside Serbian students throughout their struggle, because we believe in the European future of Serbia. A future that Vučić had become the greatest obstacle to achieving. Now that #Vučić has acknowledged the Student List’s victory, he must guarantee a peaceful, orderly and democratic transfer of power. After Orbán’s defeat in Hungary, Serbia sends another extraordinary message to Europe and the world: democracy is stronger than those who try to silence it. In the end, the people always have the last word. Thank you Serbia!” 🇪🇺🇷🇸

I have just spoken by phone with the leaders of the Students' List @studentblokade, who won the elections in Serbia, to congratulate them on their victory. I assured them of Hungary’s support. I was delighted to hear how much strength our victory in April had given them during this difficult struggle.
