I completely understand where you’re coming from, but for a lot of gamers physical discs are the only way they could afford to play games because they could get them secondhand. You can also give games to your younger siblings Which is a great way to introduce them to the games you were playing.
Most importantly though, as we saw from PlayStation this past week, if the media we buy is only digital, it can be taken away from us at a moment’s notice with no recourse. Imagine that, one day your entire library of games could be deleted overnight because technically you don’t own it.
A note from us on today's Sony news.

ALT We are profoundly disappointed by Sony's decision to suspend physical games production in 2028. Physical games are vital to games preservation, ownership, and consumer choice, values that have guided iam8bit since our first physical release in 2016. Our commitment to these values remains unchanged. Long live physical media.

Tomorrow, I go to a Hollywood movie premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre.
I'm in it. My character is on the poster.
Don't yet know the words to adequately describe what I'm feeling.
I'll have more to say tomorrow, but... Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Zoomers might be too young to know but this is what Hollywood used to do, if a big picture was getting made they'd cast promising unknowns for the roles in hopes they'd become stars, unlike now where every single role for someone age 18-35 is filled by margot robbie or emma stone or tom holland or one of the two dozen already established under-40 stars, hollywood's reluctance to take chances on new talent is why there are basically no new actors and we're stuck with nicole kidman cramming more and more filler into her face so she can keep playing 40-45 year old characters for all eternity
I was really hoping for Link to be an average looking guy and not a pretty boy, yet he looks so much like Link I can't even be mad. Zelda looks incredible. What a step up from the Mario movie. Now hoping its an original story or anything besides BOTW for the first film at least.
Replying to @Nintendo
This is Miyamoto. Filming is underway for the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda in a lush, natural setting, with Bo Bragason-san who will play Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth-san who will play Link (1/2).
