I genuinely cannot digest people praising Ravan and hailing him as the hero more than Prabhu Shri Ram on my TL. Can someone give me an honest unbiased review of this movie, please ? Looks like they have altered the timelines too as per the tweets.
PS: I don't want to book really expensive tickets abroad to watch a movie that shows my aradhya Prabhu Shri Ram in a weak light.

रामायण फ़िल्म में स्वयं सीता माता का रोल कर रही
साई पल्लवी सूर्पणखा के नाक काटने पर लक्ष्मण जी जो दोष देती है । कहती है स्त्री के साथ ऐसा आपको नहीं करना चाहिए था ।
जबकि सत्य कुछ है ।
1. अरण्यकाण्ड, सर्ग 18, श्लोक 20
श्रीराम लक्ष्मण जी से कहते हैं कि इस कुरूप राक्षसी को विरूप कर दो।
2. अरण्यकाण्ड, सर्ग 18, श्लोक 21
मूल संस्कृत श्लोक:
इत्युक्तो लक्ष्मणस्तस्याः क्रुद्धो रामस्य पश्यतः। उद्धृत्य खड्गं चिच्छेद कर्णनासे महाबलः॥ २१॥
इसका हिंदी अर्थ:
श्रीराम के इस प्रकार आदेश देने पर महाबली लक्ष्मण ने क्रोधित होकर, श्रीराम के सामने ही तलवार खींची और शूर्पणखा के नाक-कान काट दिए। ॥21॥
3. भगवान राम का आदेश (श्लोक 20):
इमां विरूपामसतीमतिमत्तां महोदरीम्। राक्षसी पुरुषव्याघ्र विरूपयितुमर्हसि॥ २०॥
अर्थात् हे पुरुषश्रेष्ठ! इस राक्षसी को विरूप कर देना चाहिए।

This looks like a paid tweet and is not in a very good taste. A movie that projects Devtas as oppressers and Rakshasas as oppressed is beyond me. No body in this day and age gives two hoots about the casting. To each their own. But if you distort timelines, add fiction to our rich history, show our Gods as weak characters while literally whitewashing Ravan and his sister's character/doing and still expect sanatanis to appreciate only the VFX and cheer the makers for attempting this grand project, I am sorry you are not being just towards your dharma. Kudos for all the grandeur but even a low budget movie like Hanuman Ansh stole the audience's heart primarily for its authenticity. Ramayana is not a project that requires a cinematic universe, even mediocrity would have made this movie successful if the authenticity and timeline was respected. I would rather sit at home and read Valmiki's Ramayana then spend money watching grand visuals on screen while walking out of the theatres praising a whitewashed Ravan's larger than life image. Don't post such tweets just for money, bro. Didn't expect this from you at least.

Here is my critique of the changes Namit Malhotra’s #Ramayana made to the original story. I haven't read the entire Valmiki Ramayana like most of you, but I took the points I knew and verified them against the actual text using AI. Please read with an open mind.
First of all, the movie changes way too many facts from the original Valmiki Ramayana just to make Ravana and the Asuras look like misunderstood, grey characters. The movie starts by showing that the Asuras were living a miserable life because Lord Vishnu unfairly took the side of the Devas in battles, and that Ravana only conquered the realms to uplift his suffering Asura race. In the actual Valmiki Ramayana, when Rakshasas and Devas were created, the Rakshasa ancestors got boons of power from Brahma and immediately started attacking the heavens, destroying sacred yajnas, and eating innocent sages alive. Vishnu did not support the Devas unfairly, he only stepped in to save the world from the Rakshasas' cruelty. Ravana’s later conquest was driven by pure greed and ego, not a noble mission to save his Asura race.
The movie also cleans up the scenes with Surpanakha and Sita Haran. In the film, Surpanakha is shown as a beautiful woman who calmly asks Ram to be his second wife, arguing that his father Dasharatha also had three wives. In reality, Valmiki describes her as ugly, pot-bellied, and wicked, and she never mentions Dasharatha, instead shamelessly going back and forth between Ram and Lakshman before attacking Sita. More importantly, the movie skips the entire scene where Surpanakha tells Ravana about Sita's unmatched beauty and urges him to make Sita his wife. In the original text, the moment Ravana hears about Sita's beauty, his mind is consumed by lust. He tells Maricha that his primary goal is to possess Sita for himself regardless of the consequences, proving he kidnapped her out of pure lust and bad intentions rather than brotherly revenge.
Along with whitewashing the Asuras, the movie gives way too much screen time and aura farming to Ravana. By cutting to him again and again right from the start, the film feels less like a Ramayana and more like a Ravanayana. Even though many people are ignoring these changes, turning an evil character into a sympathetic grey anti-hero to fit modern movie templates is a huge distortion of our actual text and the real message of the Ramayana.

सब एक ही बात बोलेंगे यश की एक्टिंग शानदार है , VFX बहुत शानदार once in a life time experience लेकिन आप देखेंगे कोई भी स्टोरी की बात नहीं करेगा और जो फ़िल्म में दिखाया गया उन सब पर VFX के नाम पर आँख पर पट्टी बांध दिया गया है ।

Today UGC 2026 regulations case was listed in Supreme Court before a bench of Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justice J Bagchi.
YFE appeared in the matter by writ no 258/2026 via Advocate Shrutunjay Bhardwaj.
The matter was heard briefly when the Chief justice made a statement towards the govt:
"Why dont you revisit the UGC issue ?"
The solicitor general Tushar mehta responded vaguely by saying that the govt is contemplating setting up a committee to revisit the guidelines.
Following this, the hearing was adjourned.

No, that’s not true! They encourage you to speak German even if you’re not fluent. As long as you try and let them know you’re struggling, they’re happy to switch to English. Their English is actually very good despite what they might say! Been here long enough to vouch for the fact that Germans are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.
It is a classic deflection tactic before UP elections. Prolong a ridiculous policy long enough till the threat passes and then show your true colours. This is not the first time BJP is trying this tactic. No GC in their right mind will buy this nonsense. A complete rollback is the only acceptable outcome; rest everything is just a facade !
The Centre has informed the Supreme Court that it is setting up a special committee to re-examine the UGC’s 2026 regulations on promoting equity in higher education institutions, whose implementation was stayed by the court in January.
Solicitor General (SGI) Tushar Mehta submitted before a bench headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant that the government was looking at ways to address students’ concerns and ensure that no group feels excluded, threatened or apprehensive under the framework.
The CJI said the exercise must safeguard the interests of all students and emphasised that the concerns and well-being of the younger generation should remain central. The court had earlier stayed the 2026 regulations after raising concerns that their provisions were prima facie vague and could be misused. It had directed that the 2012 UGC equity regulations would continue to apply until further consideration.
