One of, if not, the best guy who does evaluation and recruitment that I know in SATX. The level of detail and acknowledgement of talent is on another level. Keep fighting the good fight Scout! @KevinOneEye
I’m Kevin Howell, founder of The One-Eyed Scout. I evaluate basketball players and help coaches understand who can help them win. I look beyond the highlights—how a player defends, makes decisions, competes, and treats teammates. I also help families understand where their player stands and what needs to improve. My job is to give an honest evaluation and back it up with what I see in the gym.

We need to stop cannibalizing each other here in the Tone when it comes to hoops. I know HS “media” rankings are a joke, but a pretty reputable (imo—they actually go to games too) group just ranked its top 25 and not a single SA team on the list. Wild disrespect, I had to comment on the post. We need to start supporting each other cause these Hou/DFW guys are clowning on us! 😒

That dunk shows athleticism. What does it show against real competition?
I get highlight reels full of big plays against weak opponents. You can’t evaluate a player without evaluating who he’s playing against.
There are levels to this. It Ain’t For Everybody.
