Sharing my keynote from @token2049 Singapore: "Making AI and Finance Private By Default."
I outlined the @NEARProtocol privacy vision across near(.)com with confidential @near_intents, @near_ai with confidential inference, plus NEAR MPC & post-quantum.

connection is key
Helius CEO @mert has joined the NEAR Foundation Council, NEAR Foundation’s governing body.
An early NEAR Intents user and leading voice on privacy, Mert brings an operator’s view to how NEAR builds and grows.
“For crypto to win, we need connected, unstoppable liquidity at planetary scale. A market of markets. Neither Solana, Zcash, or Bitcoin can win on their own, we must work together. And NEAR is how."

The future is NEAR.
Introducing $NRR—the Bitwise NEAR ETF—giving investors exposure to the emerging agentic economy.
$NRR is the first spot $NEAR ETP in the U.S. and offers in-house staking to maximize NEAR's ~5% staking rewards.*
Why @NEARprotocol?
↳ Built at the intersection of AI x crypto by foundational AI researchers: The team helped shape modern AI, and now they're building its transaction layer.
↳ Growing quickly: NEAR Intents has processed $32B+ in volume, up from under $1B a year ago.
↳ Designed for security: NEAR Intents settle cross-chain transactions through smart contracts to avoid the potential risks of centralized bridges.
↳ Made for scale: Transactions finalize in ~1.2 seconds and cost a fraction of a cent.
↳ Smart tokenomics: With a ~$6B market cap, NEAR's supply is fully unlocked, inflation was recently halved to 2.5% per year, and fees now fund buybacks.
Why in-house staking?
Staking in-house brings Bitwise's institutional expertise directly to NRR investing with transparency, security, and oversight.
As AI and crypto converge, the Bitwise NEAR ETF ($NRR) gives investors straightforward exposure to the network leading the charge.

Walking around Lisbon listening to @DialecticPod couldn’t think of a better way to move forward with clarity through this next chapter
its been ~1 yr since i posted this, since then:
- bitcoin:native is down ~33% from publication and ~40% from the ath
- zcash:native was ~$316, now ~$1,350, up ~4x. privacy was the call and continues to pay
- Clean energy is getting built out at scale (US solar ~299 GW, record storage adds in H1), BUT residential power bills still went up ~7% YoY. cheaper tech ≠ cheaper bills when AI is eating the grid. price inequality is real and needs to fixed
- $MRNA ripped ~177% in one session after the Merck-partnered personalized mRNA cancer vaccine. This is the first late-stage win for eventually curing cancers
- long AI held. long crypto as a basket did not.
So whats next?
well well well.... what do u think?
thats meeee, thanks for having me on @therollupco
Aiming AI at meme coins is the least interesting thing you can do with it.
Point that compute at drug discovery and the reward is measured in billions, not basis points.
@ItsFloe from @NEARFoundation reframes the whole compute race.
A roadmap reveals a network's conviction about what the future will demand and, read side by side, where the industry is actually converging.
It also exposes the gap between shipped and promised.
For anyone deciding where durable capability will sit, that comparison is the real signal. It distinguishes teams that are building toward a future from teams already operating in it.
@ethereum 's 2026-2030 plan is a coherent, multi-year effort:
- Glamsterdam brings parallel execution and proposer-builder separation. Hegotá moves toward statelessness, state expiry, and a still-unchosen native account-abstraction standard. Strawmap points toward a faster L1, post-quantum signing, and institutional privacy.
It's a serious roadmap. And read next to @NEARProtocol , the pattern is clear: parallel sharded execution, stateless validation, native account abstraction, and post-quantum keys are production features on NEAR today, not 2027 targets.
@solana 's roadmap is anchored by Alpenglow, its first real shot at sub-second (~150ms) finality, alongside Firedancer's continued rollout and ZK Compression. (its working btw)
Together it's a push to reach, on a monolithic chain, the fast deterministic finality NEAR has run in production since 2024.
@Zcash 's NU7 and Project Tachyon aim to scale shielded throughput toward payments scale, add PoS finality (Crosslink), and quantum recoverability.
The right ambitions for private money, and precisely the kind of private value transfer near:native already routes for it through Confidential Intents.
Each ecosystem is building toward a clear future. Real ambition, real engineering, real conviction, on all four.
The difference this comparison keeps surfacing: on this specific cluster of capabilities, NEAR is already operating in the one the others are still planning to build.
