Well, this is it. After two-and-a-half years of work, conducting interviews, playing so many games, and then writing it all up into something legible.

Dudes who used to work at 20th century fox probably still talk about the guy who edited this fucking trailer like he’s a Greek legend or some shit
I also reviewed Final Fantasy Resonance, which is fiiine. Not terrible, not especially great. But hey, it plays well and looks pretty!

I abso-bloody-lutely loved my time reviewing Nintendo Switch Sports Resorts. Following 2022's woeful attempt to recapture the Wii Sports magic, this one does juuust enough new to make dipping in and out of it worthwhile!

A little late to the party, but I'm pleased to report that the Switch 2 ports of the Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4 remakes arrive on the platform on mostly top-form:
What a Resident Evil powerhouse Nintendo Switch 2 now is.

Getting blown up by a Russian drone to protect my beautiful nation of privatised water companies, boarded up shops, cracked paving, and political-media class who think I’m a racist because I oppose a genocide.

Per Shawn Layden's comments a few years ago.
So @nikitabier's comments on GTA VI really resonated with me...
GTA VI is a beautiful monument to the first 50 years of the industry. It is likely Casablanca or Gone With The Wind -- the culmination of a system prior to disruption, much like golden age Hollywood and the rise of television. We are already seeing the dismantling of the old studio system, AI's impacts are going to be dramatic, and the industry is totally reorganizing...
But here is this beautiful thing that will likely stand as the last of it's kind and also the high water mark to which the new system will look to meet and exceed. That is why I am optimistic.
Ocarina of Time remake? Pfffft. Fresh out the oven are my thoughts on Digital Eclipse's latest retro collection, the Toy Story Retro Roundup!, which is inevitably a mixed bag but nostalgic nevertheless.

Spent the weekend with the new Evercade Nexus and came away mostly very impressed.
Overall it's a great evolution on the EXP before it and the screen is glorious, but the lack of a Rest mode feels like a missed opportunity. mirror.co.uk/gaming/evercade…
Nicolas Cage says he’s “probably not” working with Amazon again after refusing to sign an AI waiver for #SpiderNoir:
“Amazon is a very AI-friendly company, to the tune of $50 billion invested in OpenAI,” Cage said at #NYCC. “I am not an AI-friendly actor, so it’s like, connect those dots! I’m not a member of their club. I didn’t sign the waiver to let him use AI on ‘Spider Noir.’ I’m probably not going to be working with that studio again, but that’s okay.”
