Yesterday it took me 10 hours(Inc 2 hrs of breaks/rest) to travel from Nrb to Webuye.
Here is what I noticed on A104 🧵🧵

Do not use stop to use the washrooms!
My body thought we were done and I could barely walk after😭 so returning to the previous pace was out of the picture.
And for me it was in the last 5km so there weren’t any water stations.
Luckily, the gels came in clutch.

Running isn't enjoyable in the beginning for it to be done performatively. And it's so hard lol. Nikikumbuka I couldn't even run 1 km😭 just puking bile?!
So people who stick with it have far deeper reasons than showing off.

Just checked your profile and saw you actually studied at Harvard. The intellectual distance between your education and your thinking is so wide, a person could die trying to jump across.
SIFUNA has NEVER done a SINGLE thing of CONSEQUENCE in his entire life. Not a thing as a lawyer, ODM SG, or senator. Zero, zilch, nada. He’s a blank slate. I challenge anyone to name one thing. Apart from running his mouth. He lost every election until Baba made him Nairobi Senator. Now he’s hiding under Gachagua’s skirt. Prove me wrong. I challenge you.

Huko Stanchart after tuturn, nlikuwa najiuliza hiyo mlima walikuwa wanasema ni gani na vile course ilikuwa nywee. After that Blueband misting station ndio nilianza kuona Elijah wa Nameme😂. And the other turn after the hill was a mirage. Unasonga na hiyo pia inasonga💀.

My biggest takeaway from today's run is that pro athletes, marathoners especially, are an extraordinary breed of human beings. They are built differently and they have earned every bit of that admiration.

If I tell you I had a bad day in the office today you wouldn't believe me but that is the truth 🥲. I started 15 mins late plus I was nursing a hamstring so I had manage my pace without provoking the little devil.
Check out my run on Strava: strava.app.link/2DZYQThtw7b
Not a good day in office, but a win is a win.

Not the result I trained for, but one of the biggest lessons I've learned in running and life:
Sometimes the victory is simply refusing to quit.

There has been a lot of conversation about Parliament and the livestreaming of election results. So, what exactly is happening?
-In 2024, the Senate passed the Elections (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill, which proposed changes to Section 39 of the Elections Act. This section deals with how election results are determined, transmitted and declared.
-Clause 22 of the Senate's Bill proposed replacing the existing Section 39. In the proposed replacement, the specific requirement for IEBC to establish a mechanism for livestreaming results announced at polling stations was missing.
-Livestreaming allows Kenyans to watch results being announced at polling stations in real time. It gives the public another way to follow the process and compare what is announced with the results transmitted and published.
-Electronic transmission of results is important, but it is not the same as livestreaming. One sends results electronically; the other allows the public to watch the announcement as it happens.
-On 22 October 2026, the National Assembly deleted Clause 22 altogether. In its official clarification, Parliament said this preserved the existing Section 39, including the requirement for IEBC to establish a mechanism for livestreaming results announced at polling stations.
-According to the National Assembly's clarification, the provision remains under the version passed by the House. However, the Bill must still go through the remaining legislative process before it becomes law.
Transparency must be built into the electoral process, not left to assumptions.
Kenyans must also be able to follow how votes are counted, how results are verified and how the final outcome is declared.
As we approach the 2027 General Election, we must pay attention to the laws governing our elections and demand clarity whenever changes are proposed.
An informed public is an essential part of an accountable democracy. #VIP
