My father worked every day of my life from 4am to 9pm. I didn’t get to see him much. His sacrifice was the reason we made it in the USA. Now, through manufacturing and @M3Aerospace, I get to spend almost every hour with him. Breakfast talks about financials with mom, loading material, running the shop, dreaming at night. Manufacturing isn’t just about reindustrializing America for me. It’s given me an opportunity to reclaim lost time with my dad. 🇺🇸

America makes things, in places you wouldn't expect I flew to West Michigan and spent 4 days in factories to see what modern manufacturing looks like:

the house just passed h.r. 3174 which doubles sba manufacturing loan limits to $10m. the critical question is whether this is actually useful for manufacturing/deep tech/hardware startups that are burning cash. i read the guidance and the answer is yes but the mechanism is subtle. normally sba loans are disqualified by negative cash flow. but the associated MARC program explicitly allows "projection-based underwriting." you do not need coverage today. you only need to demonstrate you reach it within 2 years. this bridges the specific valley of death where you have orders but lack the working capital to buy the inventory to fulfill them. it is not free money. the constraint is that unlike vc checks this requires personal guarantees and usually a 20% equity injection if you are a new firm. but $5m was often too low to fund serious industrial capacity. at $10m this becomes a legitimate alternative to equity for financing the physical plant. startups may finally have a useful financial instrument to play with. sba.gov/article/2025/12/01/a…

What if years of critical supply-chain delays could be collapsed into months or even weeks? Excited to share that Ad Astra Group, the organization I created for this work, is launching a national series of Industrial Base Hackathons to tackle the systemic bottlenecks slowing America’s critical supply chains across energy, defense, food, medical devices, aerospace and more. Our first hackathon is happening Wednesday December 10, 2025 in Austin, TX, co-hosted with @Oracle, @exodysenergy and Texas Nuclear Alliance (@NuclearTexas), with early interest from leaders across government, industry, and manufacturing. Apply to join here: luma.com/36bxlr6o Submit bottlenecks and learn more: industrialbasehackathons.com

We’ve bootstrapped something bigger and better than Heliux. If you’re a hardware company scaling from prototype to production we’d love to show it to you (or try it for yourself on our GitHub)

This should look like a giant pot of gold for young entrepreneurs. Now is a great time to start a manufacturing business.

1/18 Introducing Frontier Valley: A new special regulation district in SV that’s larger than SoMa. Once approved, it will be America's epicenter for physical AI and deep tech innovation, and will also be a template for "robotics-first" cities that can be replicated nationwide.
