Throwback to when Pep Guardiola said something United fans needs to hear all over again...
When asked about Omar Berrada joining Manchester United, Pep's answer says a lot about what rebuilding a club actually takes. SIMPLEπ€·π½ββοΈ
π¨NOTHING will change at Manchester United until the people making these DISASTROUS decisions start taking responsibility for the absolute MESS theyβve created.
Jason Wilcox, Omar Berrada, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and everyone else involved in running this club need to be held ACCOUNTABLE.
Theyβve made mistake after mistake, wasted millions, failed managers in the transfer market, and somehow itβs ALWAYS the manager who ends up losing his job while everyone above him carries on as if nothing happened.
And hereβs my biggest concernβ¦
Do you believe ELITE managers like Antonio Conte, Unai Emery or Julian Nagelsmann would look at Manchester United right now and happily accept this structure?!
Iβd be absolutely SHOCKED if any of them agreed to come here without having a serious say in transfers, squad building and how the football side of the club is run.
Yes, there are reports suggesting Nagelsmann and Conte are interested, but interested in the JOB and willing to work under this current structure are TWO VERY DIFFERENT THINGS.
These are TOP managers with their own ideas, standards and demands. Theyβre not going to simply nod along with everything Jason Wilcox wants.
And thatβs exactly why I fear weβll end up with Eddie Howe.
Not because I think heβs the best manager available, but because I worry the people running this club would rather have someone who fits THEIR system and doesnβt challenge their decisions.
We donβt need another YES-MAN. We need a WORLD-CLASS manager who is allowed to MANAGE.
But more importantly, we need people above him who actually know what theyβre doing. Because you can bring in Luis Enrique, Hansi Flick, Guardiola, Zidane, Klopp or ANY manager in world football, and NOTHING will change if the same people keep making the same mistakes.
Iβm absolutely SICK of watching this cycle repeat itself. π€¬

I laugh when i hear a manager has to have βUtd DNAβ, whatever that means? Utd have only had 3 managers in their entire history who have won the league. One was a former Burnley manager, one played for Liverpool and City and the other had never set foot inside the club before he came.
