A couple years ago there was a hiker in Waterton Park that tried to out climb a grizzly who just kept climbing up to him. He had to get rescued off.

Both these early field goal attempts by the Jets are go for it situations per analytics.
Seemed small at the time, but going for these would have added 4.5% of win probability. Could have been the difference in a close loss.
On the 4th and goal from the 3, the Jets could have at least lined up to go for it and hard counted, giving them a chance at a 4th and 1.5. The 5 yard delay of game changes nothing for a field goal attempt.

Semantics of the quote aside, something emblematic of the whole operation being rotten right now here with the first move of offseason front office transaction, team captain either being hurt or underperforming, leading a unit that got dog walked multiple weeks in a row and had a guy benched for missing meetings, only to immediately get his job back, play terribly while a high second round pick sits on bench (also team’s HC is a former DB)
