Shocking that you can’t renew @JohnLewisRetail car insurance online or at weekends. Renewal by phone 9-6 Mon-Fri only. Digital dinosaurs!
Standard Monday morning on @SW_Help. Check the trains over breakfast - everything running on time. Get to the station - all trains cancelled. @swtrains_watch
Does Andy Burnham plan to fix the UK railways? Two hour delay tonight on what should be a one hour journey on the permanently chaotic @SW_Help.

For weeks, we have had what must have been hundreds of stories from Westminster correspondents on how first Ed Milliband and then Shabana Mahmood would be Chancellor. Every single one of them was wrong. I cannot think of a better example of the futility of speculative punditry
Hi @AvantiWestCoast - the 11.13 Euston to Manchester train I’m booked on tomorrow has been cancelled. Can I travel on any other train running on that route with the same ticket?
Hi @SW_Help - a shout out to the guard on the 7.00 train from Petersfield to Waterloo today l. He was excellent with regular updates during the 2 hour delay.
Replying to @SW_Help
@SW_Help - I had two separate journeys on 7 May delayed by 2+ hours. I’m an annual STH and claimed delay repay for both. One was successful and one rejected as I have “already been compensated fully for that day”. Do you only compensate one 2 hour delay per day? @swtrains_watch
It’s not really “fully compensated” though @SW_Help. You have compensated me £25 for a 2+ hour delay in the morning and zero for a 3+ hour delay in the evening. Doesn’t seem fair or come close to compensating the inconvenience. cc @swtrains_watch

Despite the best efforts of an increasingly ridiculous and breathless political media class that gets excited over the tiniest most inconsequential nothing burger, Reform have done less well than predicted, the Green surge is flaccid and patchy, and none of it means much at all.

Unbelievable from the @EFL. How is it fair to retrospectively change the rules to penalise @WBA for supporting the heroic work of the @WBAFoundation. Completely ridiculous.

This doesn’t sit right with me. Docking West Brom two points over money linked to its Foundation misses what clubs like this do in our communities. And changing the rule part way through the accounting period raises real questions.
I’ll be taking this up with the EFL and the new regulator.
West Brom is a proud community club, working hard to move on from the past ownership issues. I spoke to the club earlier this week to offer my full support.

So a club can sell its hotel to itself, sell its women’s team to itself, but West Brom are punished, they believe, for legitimate “in-kind” donations to the Albion Foundation, its charity partner that saves lives. Albion also believe the alleged PSR breach is “less than £2m”
Hi @SW_Help - why has there been no communication about the reduced service northbound on the Portsmouth to Waterloo this week? Frustrating to find my train isn’t running and there is. 30+ min delay until the next fast train from Petersfield. @swtrains_watch
Gutted to miss @JokesWithMark at Guildford tonight because of the @LondonWaterloo meltdown. Shame @SW_Help can’t match Mark Simmons for quality lines.
Hi @SW_Help - is there any prospect of the Portsmouth line from Waterloo reopening. There is zero customer information at the station. Waterloo never provides updates on the Portsmouth line when there are problems. Why is that!

nothing new from trump davos speech other than saying he wouldn’t use force against greenland…which was never on the table.
will make headlines. but carney’s speech is the one that mattered.

Happy Black Country Day everyone.
From Dudley to Sandwell, Wolverhampton to Walsall, it truly is a bostin’ place.
And good luck to Stourbridge’s Jude Bellingham tonight – bring it home!

The extreme Right are very loud rather than very popular. But as long as the media mistake loudness for popularity, the extreme Right will keep getting more airtime than their rivals. That’s not to underestimate the very real frustrations with politics that many of their supporters feel, but it does give us the first very real sign that the march of the Far Right is not as relentless and unstoppable as they would browbeat us into believing. It’ll be hard work and demand full attention, but they CAN be stopped. And that gives me hope.
