As Shabbat approaches, we're celebrating our Canadian colleagues! 🇨🇦 60+ professionals from nine JCCs gathered in Winnipeg for three days of learning, networking, and Jewish joy at the Great Canadian Conference, hosted by @RadyJCC.

Each week, the JCC Movement brings together more than 1.5 million people in nearly 150 JCCs and JCC Camps. This week, many of them gathered in the sukkah for some Jewish joy!

This Shabbat we’re celebrating the @sidjacobsonjcc. Together with Supplies for Suceess, volunteers packed and distributed 1,500 backpacks—giving students the supplies—and confidence—to start the year on the right foot!

Today we recall those killed, the brave first responders, & all who cared for communities on 9/11 & in the following weeks & months, including 3 JWB chaplains, who aided DoD recovery efforts. We remember, reflect, & reaffirm the value of connected, compassionate communities.
As a new school year gets underway, we’re celebrating the joy, curiosity, friendship, and community that fill all our JCC early childhood programs. 💙

Today we’re reflecting on how @JCCMaccabi's Yellow Ribbon Campaign created solidarity with the hostages throughout their captivity. The story came full circle this summer when a Yellow Ribbon Medal was presented to Omer Wenkert, who had spent 505 days in Gaza.

This week, our Shabbat shalom wish comes to you from the 24 @JCCAssociation board members, spouses and partners, staff members, and the group's tour educator, all of whom are enjoying the JCC Movement Leadership Experience in Israel, which kicked off in Tel Aviv on Wednesday.
The JCC Movement wishes Shabbat shalom to Esther Greenberg, chief advancement officer at @jccbaltimore, who is retiring at the end of June after 16 years.
Then, she's going to do something all of us should do on Shabbat: Relax!
