#WATCH | INDIA bloc mega rally | Delhi: PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti says, "...The very Constitution that has given you the vote to change the government, to bring down the government, and to form a new government, they want to snatch that right away from you. We, the people of Jammu and Kashmir, have been ruined. In 2019, they destroyed the Constitution there. But now you must save yourselves, lest they turn the entire country into Jammu and Kashmir. We are with you. Standing shoulder to shoulder, we are with you in your struggle."

Conviction knows no dialects; it speaks the exact same truth at Lal Chowk as it does at Ramlila Maidan. @MehboobaMufti

#VIDEO || At Ramlila Maidan, PDP President @MehboobaMufti delivered a powerful message on the need to defend India’s democracy. The right to vote is the foundation of our Constitution, not a privilege to be manipulated or taken away. When voters are silenced and institutions lose their independence, the entire democratic fabric is threatened. This fight is bigger than political parties. It is about saving the Constitution and the voice of every Indian.

Party President Ms @MehboobaMufti has expressed her heartfelt condolences to party leader and constituency incharge Chanapora @TrumbooIqbal Sahib on the painful loss of his brother-in-law, Late Liaqat Agah Sahib.
She stands in solidarity with the bereaved Tramboo family in this hour of grief and has prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength and Sabr-e-Jameel for the family to bear this irreparable loss.

Powerful address by PDP President Ms @MehboobaMufti at the INDIA bloc’s Public Impeachment of CEC Gyanesh Kumar in New Delhi.
When institutions meant to safeguard democracy leave no room for accountability, the people must raise their voice. The right to vote is sacred, and no eligible citizen can be denied it. Democracy cannot survive without an independent Election Commission and accountable institutions.

Today marks the day Indira ji shed her blood and made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation. She fought for India’s freedom from childhood, led the country to a historic victory in the 1971 war that resulted in the creation of Bangladesh, and ultimately laid down her life in the line of duty.
What is remarkable is that even a leader of her stature had to face the people’s verdict. That is the true essence of democracy , no position, no power and no legacy is greater than the people’s mandate.
It is this very democratic right that the present government is accused of undermining by stealing our votes.

I marvel at Indian Express 2.0’s sudden turn around & its newfound courage in launching these direct investigative strikes. In all likelihood much of this confidential information is being leaked by a senior disgruntled muckraker within the BJP itself.
Three years ago, PM Modi inaugurated the 3,200-crore Surat Diamond Bourse, calling it “the best diamond in the world” and an example of “Modi’s guarantee” for Surat.
Today, the “world’s biggest office space in a single project” is a largely empty shell.

The real test of India’s commitment to Kashmir lies not in how forcefully it asserts that the region belongs to the country, but in how convincingly it demonstrates to the people of Kashmir that they belong to India and India belongs to them.

The decision to join India was rooted in hope. Therefore the question Kashmir poses to India is not merely about security, constitutional arrangements or territorial sovereignty. It is about the promise that shaped the hopes and aspirations of generations of Kashmiris when the decision to accede to India was made. @MehboobaMufti

Nearly eight decades after accession, Kashmir remains one of the most heavily militarised regions in the world. Security forces guard its roads, towns and villages, and their presence permeates everyday life. While military deployments along international borders are intended to guard against external threats, the extraordinary security presence within Kashmir is experienced by many of its inhabitants as a constant reminder that they are themselves treated as potential threats and live under a constant cloud of suspicion.
