The Holocaust didnโ€™t begin with gas chambers. It began with words, propaganda, dehumanization, and ordinary people learning to hate their Jewish neighbors, just as they are today. Thatโ€™s why actually teaching history matters. Recognizing how it happened is just as important as remembering that it happened. Never again means paying attention to whatโ€™s happening now and recognizing the same signs that were ignored 93 years ago, when it began.
