On May 29, Sasakawa USA and the Japan-America Society of Hawaii held a JUMP event at Japan's Consulate-General in Honolulu, gathering U.S. and Japanese servicemembers during the JMSDF training squadron's visit to Hawaii for an evening of cultural exchange and defense diplomacy.

JUMP Quantico featured a panel of experts with LtGen Chip Gregson (USMC, Ret.), former Asst. Sec. of Defense and III MEF Commander, BGen Matthew Tracy (USMC), President of the Marine Corps University; and Col Satoshi Masaka (JGSDF), Military Attache at the Embassy of Japan.

Yesterday, Sasakawa USA & the Embassy of Japan held a JUMP event at the Marine Corps War College at MCB Quantico focusing on "Transitioning to an Operational Alliance: Bilateral Implications of Upgrading U.S. Forces Japan to a Warfighting Command."

On Tuesday, LTG Larry Nicholson, former Commanding General, III Marine Expeditionary Force in Japan, (USMC, Ret.) & Col Satoshi Masaka, Military Attaché, @JapanEmbDC, (JGSDF), served as panelists at the JUMP VMI event. @SasakawaUSA President, Dr. Akimoto, served as moderator.

Yesterday, @VMI1839 graciously hosted a JUMP event in Lexington, VA, on the importance of the US-Japan Alliance in the Indo-Pacific. Thank you to ADM Ryo Sakai, former Chief of Staff, (JMSDF, Ret.), for providing the keynote remarks.

At the Jan. 23 JUMP event in San Diego, Sasakawa USA welcomed US COs from united based across Southern California as well as the crew of the JS Chokai, a Japanese destroyer being refitted in San Diego to employ the Tomahawk missile system. In total over 60 people attended.

On Friday in San Diego, Sasakawa USA welcomed ADM Ryo Sakai, former Chief of Staff, JMSDF, and VADM John Wade, Commander, US Third Fleet to speak at a JUMP event on the importance of people to people relationships in deepening cooperation between naval forces within the alliance.

On Jan. 22, @SasakawaUSA & @JapanEmbDC held a JUMP event w/ the Air Command & Staff College @HQAirUniversity. Lt Gen Burton Field (USAF, Ret.), fmr. Commander, @USForcesJapan & President, @AFA_Air_Space shared lessons from Operation Tomodachi & the evolution of the 🇺🇸🇯🇵 alliance.

On August 6, a JUMP event was held at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina on the theme of "Force Design 2030: The Importance of Marines in the US-Japan Security Alliance". Speakers included BGen Ralph Rizzo (USMC), LtGen Chip Gregson (USMC, Ret.), and Col Satoshi Masaka (JGSDF).
