🇯🇵🇺🇸GEN Arai, CS, JGSDF held a second bilateral discussion with General Clark, Commander of US Army Pacific, who visited Japan to participate in LFS and LFJ on 17 DEC 2025, following their previous meeting at IPACC. During this discussion, they exchanged views on the importance of organizational transformation to adapt to the increasingly severe security environment and discussed efforts to further strengthen the Japan - US Alliance through joint training and enhance coordination with like-minded nations. #JGSDF will continue to deepen its relationship with the US Army, which has been built over time, and promote joint training and cooperation with like-minded countries.

🇯🇵🇺🇸#JGSDF is conducting a field training exercise ( #RisingThunder 25) with the U.S. Army at Yakima Training Area in the United States from 27 OCT to 12 NOV 2025. This exercise is composed of drone countermeasure training in consideration of drone attacks and reconnaissance activities, as well as joint combat training, live-fire training, and logistics support training with U.S. forces. These efforts aim to enhance tactical skills and operational capabilities adapted to current operational environment.

🇯🇵🇺🇸GEN Arai, CS, #JGSDF, held his first dialogue by VTC with Lt Gen James F. Glynn, Commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific on 31 OCT 2025. We exchanged views on the security environment surrounding two nations and shared our understanding that strengthening JPN-US relationships was important for peace and stability of the international community. JGSDF will further strengthen the relationships we have built with U.S. Marine Corps.

🇯🇵🇺🇸🇦🇺#JGSDF conducted the JPN-U.S.-AUS trilateral field training exercise “ #OrientShield 25” from SEP 16 to SEP 24, 2025, at SekiyamaTraining Area and other locations. This exercise further strengthened the trilateral cooperation among JPN-US-AUS and contributed to peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.

🇯🇵🇺🇸#JGSDF conducted an expert exchange as part of Japan-US field training exercise with U.S. Marine Corps “ #ResoluteDragon 25”. Participants observed Mid-Range Capability system “Typhon” deployed at MCAS IWAKUNI. Ground Component Command Commander JGSDF and US Multi Domain Task Force Commander discussed future direction of Japan-US joint exercise on long-range fires. JGSDF remain committed to enhancing Japan-US Alliance readiness and interoperability.

🇯🇵🇺🇸#JGSDF completed the field training exercise in Japan with the U.S. Marine Corps “ #ResoluteDragon 25” on 25 SEP 2025. Through this exercise, JGSDF and the USMC further enhanced deterrence and response capabilities including JPN-US interoperability in island defense operations. We will continue to strengthen the capabilities and contribute to the stability in Indo-Pacific region.
