The QB conversation for Indy doesn’t really do much for me. Yeah, Jones needs to be benched because he’s been putrid, but none of these 3 QBs will be in Indy next season. Don’t really care much who is starting at QB for the final 10 games, it’s gonna be bad regardless

To me the biggest issue in this situation is carrying a QB that the head coach is THIS out on into the season. If Steichen was this done with Richardson they should have let hin pursue an opportunity elsewhere. Not fair to the player at all.

Can’t fault a guy who is coaching for his job for not wanting to turn to Anthony Richardson (he’s unpredictable and not good). The problem is that the other option is Daniel Jones, and it’s hard to justify continuing to start him (he’s not good either). Tough spot for Colts.

I'm starting to feel convinced Riley Leonard will start a game before AR this season. Baffling to me the Colts kept AR on this roster if the head coach is this down on him. Jones could not possibly be playing any worse and Shane isn't even contemplating a change.

I think for JT specifically this is similar to the last time he was in trade talks I think another team would have to force the Colts hand with a large offer Personally I wouldn't trade JT before the new GM gets here unless it's a a 1st or a young RB with upside + a day 2 pick

Fans are hilarious. Five RBs in the HISTORY of the NFL have been traded for a 1st round pick. Once in the last 24 years. 26 year old Christian McCaffrey was traded for 4 picks, the equivalent of the 41st pick in the draft. Saying you want a minimum of a 1st for JT is absurd.

People also thinking that AR would play under Steichen for anything more than to boost his FA value are delusional. That relationship is eroded and broken. AR is only in Indianapolis because there wasn't an offer for him the Colts were willing to accept.

If you have to force Steichen to start Richardson and your plan is to evaluate AR then you might as well just fire Steichen.. Cannot force a QB and coach to work together and expect positive results from that.

What I would do if I were the Colts over the rest of this season - Sell: DeForest Buckner & Jonathan Taylor - Hold Onto: Quenton Nelson, Josh Downs, & Big Mo ofc - Mandate Steichen to start Anthony Richardson and evaluate both. If AR impresses, I’d be open to retaining Steichen with a new GM
