Important to use yesterday as a springboard for better performances. Osula made a massive difference. I doubt Wissa or MFP are in that position to score the goal. Spurs/Hull results were false dawns due to poor first halves vs Bournemouth/Coventry. Need momentum this time. #nufc

Good result. Something to build on. First half had some worrying things, but second half much better. Probably a game where the first goal mattered a lot. #nufc

What have they given that at half time? Could apply to both teams. Attack looking much slicker. #nufc

I just want to believe in this team, but it’s very hard too. Concede too many shots, don’t create many of our own and it isn’t getting better. Palace have been conceding for fun, and we’ve barely created a chance. #nufc

Not sure you can really call it a transition season if you’re not blooding the young guys, but result is all that matters today. #nufc

The amount of people retweeting that they thought we should have signed Jackson is making me think I wasn’t in the minority i believed I was in at the time. Not sure it’s retweet, pat yourself on the back worthy though. #nufc

He won't get the same there and I doubt we'll love a player in the same way for the foreseeable future. He won't care when he's winning trophies though. #nufc
❤️‍🩹 Bruno Guimarães: “I never felt so loved like the way I was at Newcastle. I hope I can have the same love here at Arsenal”. “I had so many sleepless nights… it was not easy at all for me to leave Newcastle, the connection there was special”. “I will always be grateful”, says Bruno — via @sr_collings.

This is the one issue with the new CL format. As good as it is to see games like last night, the win does very little for PSG and the loss doesn’t hurt Barca. If anything, the loser comes out with a greater chance of winning it due to this injury. A
Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is set to undergo surgery after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during Tuesday’s Champions League victory over Barcelona. The 25-year-old started the game at Parc des Princes but was forced off just before the hour mark after landing awkwardly as he challenged Barcelona full-back Xavi Espart. 📝 @nnamdionye 🔗 nyti.ms/4yBvQqb

Not sure Dan Burn being named captain is an issue, but if it is, it’s not in the top 20 issues currently impacting the team. Definitely not worth addressing. #nufc

If you put Dedic, Nico, Toure or MFP in Villa’s squad, they’d be praised as great signings. The issue is the environment. Villa are a well run club with a very good manager. They make mistakes too, but the general direction is a positive one. I feel for our new lads. #nufc
Superb recruitment from #avfc replacing their best players they lost. All levels above our summer signings of the past 2 years Suzuki Manzambi Mbaye Jackson All look class signings.Poor recruitment has killed #nufc I don’t think any manager could work well with this rabble

Finding this difficult myself. Jaissle inherited a mess and it will take time, but he needs to do more to earn that time. Run of six games starting from Hull are best we’ve got all season. Not going well. Next three massive for Jaissle. #nufc
Turning on Jaissle after 9 games is absolutely mental.

Performances against Palace, Everton and Fulham just as important as results. Good opportunity to get a decent return of points. After the break, the fixtures are ugly. If the next three are similar to what we’ve seen so far, you’d have to ask the question as harsh as that is.

Three subs today and one of them was to bring Burn on up front. Jaissle has a player available to him that knows what he wants in Dedic and he would rather play Miley at RB. Don’t get me started on Steur. #nufc

Still early days for Jaissle, but I’m not buying what he’s selling at the moment. Very tough job, but he’s not helping himself. #nufc

I refuse to believe Yoane Wissa scored a lot of goals for Brentford. Desperate striker. #nufc

Some better things in the structure, but ultimately, our biggest issue is that we don’t have many players that can kick a football. Everything is a struggle. #nufc

Going to be a fun game for the neutral this weekend, Villa's last three games have had 35, 34 and 35 shots in them. Even conceded 15 shots in a 6-0 win. Chaotic game. Sadly you'd back Villa's attack to take advantage of this over ours. #nufc

Don’t buy the ‘protecting value’ angle with Murphy. He’s going to be 32 next summer. His value isn’t going to be very high with a new contract and you risk being lumbered with him. Argument makes more sense with Willock, but seems he’s off on a free sadly. #nufc

Hopefully Jacob Ramsey is back for the weekend. He’s impressed me when he’s played this season. Has a bit of aggression most of our squad is lacking. Could be the perfect number ten if Jaissle persists with 4-2-3-1 as he can drop in and help off the ball. #nufc

Some Spurs fans still pine for Poch. Eddie had to go, but until we produce seasons close to what he achieved, it’ll always feel like we’ve gone backwards. It’s hard to imagine we’ll have a season like 2022/23 or 2024/25 again anytime soon - even if football moves fast. #nufc
It's not taken long for those who felt Eddie Howe leaving was the wrong decision - to call out those who felt it was the right decision after the new manager has lost a game. I never understand this. It's like people are waiting for Matthias Jaissle to fail.
