More money, more time and flying less will not make spaceflight safer or make us more effective at achieving our objectives.
We are done defending the status quo. We are not going to compromise NASA’s effectiveness or capability trying to appease every constituency and, in the process, satisfy no one.
We are here for the mission, focused on executing @POTUS’ national space policy, achieving the objectives entrusted to us and delivering the kind of world-changing headlines worthy of America’s space program.
Small beginning. Big dream.

BREAKING: Meta, $META, will raise up to $95 billion through a series of stock offerings in order to fund the development of AI.
The financing plan comes just days after Meta said it would spend up to $145 billion in CapEx this year.
SpaceX just revealed a MASSIVE $40 BILLION GPU financing commitment in a new SEC filing
SpaceX signed a binding commitment letter with an entity managed by Apollo Global Management to finance an enormous expansion of its superintelligence computing infrastructure
Here’s what the filing reveals:
• Approximately $40 billion in planned principal payments
• Financing for GPU pods and related data center equipment
• Equipment delivered in multiple tranches
• Lease terms of approximately 5–5.25 years
• Final financing agreement expected before the end of 2026
• GPU deliveries and lease commencement expected in the first half of 2027
And SpaceX’s SI business is already operating at an incredible scale
The company reached 1.7 GW of nameplate compute capacity by the end of Q3 2026, generating $7.6 billion in quarterly SI revenue
Now SpaceX is preparing another enormous expansion of its computing infrastructure

SpaceX has officially announced that they have secured $40 billion in the largest GPU financing ever.
The company entered into a $40B master finance lease for GPUs and related equipment with an entity managed by Apollo Global Management. This lease will deliver the next generation of NVIDIA Vera Rubin chips for SpaceX's terrestrial compute buildout and is an important step in our plan to build a Super Intelligence future. It represents the largest committed GPU financing ever.
SpaceX CFO Bret Johnsen:
"SpaceX aims to deploy the largest compute infrastructure in the world. As demand for compute continues to accelerate, we're seeing less than one year payback periods on our SI infrastructure investments. This lease diversifies our funding sources and addresses a notable portion of the funding required to deliver on our growth plans as we aim to get additional compute online at record speeds to power Grok for enterprises and consumers, as well as serve existing and future cloud services customers."
Transaction Details:
The financing has been committed to by a number of financing parties led by Apollo and Goldman Sachs, who served as sole structuring agent. Entry into the lease remains subject to certain specified closing conditions and is expected to close prior to year-end 2026, with lease schedules expected to commence upon delivery of GPUs and related equipment in the first half of 2027.

More to come for low-cost airlines with larger fleets.
BREAKING: easyJet has just announced a partnership with SpaceX to bring Starlink Wi-Fi onboard for the first time.
easyJet carries 100 million passengers a year. This partnership brings Starlink to another major European airline.
- Aircraft: Airbus A320, A320neo and A321neo.
- Rollout starts: First half of 2027.
- Expected completion: Early 2028.
- Fast, reliable internet so passengers can stream, game and browse on their own devices.
- Connectivity from takeoff to landing, helping passengers work and stay in touch.
SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell said:
“Fast, reliable connectivity from take-off to landing means people can work, stream, or stay in touch without interruption.”
$40B of debt financing for GPUs should mean serious SI compute business for some people :) (at least on X)
Replying to @chamath
Pretty much.
As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers.
SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue.
That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.
