Why, what an odd thing to say!

A senior research fellow at the Center for Education Policy at the Heritage Foundation, Jason Bedrick, said New York’s problem is not enough choice. "It’s ironic that Hannah-Jones laments that disadvantaged parents lack school choice while condemning New York City for implementing a ‘system of school choice,’ especially when its choice system is so limited," Bedrick told the Free Beacon. “NYC only offers a choice among public schools, including magnet schools and charter schools, but even those offerings are prevented from expanding despite long waiting lists. Those who want to help disadvantaged children get access to a quality education should support expanding school choice options, including to private schools, microschools, virtual schools, and a host of other learning environments.”

The DSAers are modern Jacobins and Bolsheviks. The saddest part is that the vast majority of young adults have no idea what that means.
🚨 DSA Leader Says Keep the Guns Hidden Until the Crisis Comes Are the Democratic Socialists of America violent? It's a question that has sparked considerable debate, but one of the organization's national leaders argues that now is the time to prepare for the coming revolution. Christopher Winston, a national DSA leader with close ties to the organization's security apparatus, the Red Rabbits, isn't interested in armed activists showing off their guns in the streets. “Until there's a crisis, keep the fucking guns put up.” But he also warned that America is “rapidly approaching the crisis stage” and described the present as a time for “experimentation and accumulation of forces.” Pointing to the unrest in Minneapolis, Winston declared, “We literally had the embryo of a dual power,” referring to what he sees as the beginnings of an alternative power structure challenging capitalism. He urged others to learn from Minneapolis and the radical organizing networks established during 2020 that remained in place. Winston also invoked Maoist revolutionary movements in Peru and India, arguing that fellow travelers should study their experiences while developing a distinctly American revolutionary approach rather than simply copying tactics from abroad.

I've been collecting radical sermons from one of @AbdulElSayed's favorite mosques, the Islamic Center of Detroit (ICD). From the hundreds of examples gathered, almost 50 include open praise for jihad and the mujahideen, along with open supplications for the slaughter of Israelis. "Burn them" .... "kill them one by one" ... "tear them apart." This is perhaps one of the most dangerous, concentrated collections I've seen in over a decade of counter-extremism work. The ICD has been in the news recently because U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed is reportedly a congregant. /1

Shoutout @PrestonCooper93 for collecting the biggest tuition increases and their justifications. The best (worst) one: "Paul Quinn College continues to maintain our model of tuition increases following the increase in the Pell rate" @WilliamJBennett hypothesis = confirmed.

Why is no one talking about the epidemic in Ireland of grandparents hugging their grandkids?! So glad to see the Irish govt spending taxpayer $ to address the real issues affecting voters. Btw, the Irish fertility rate is 1.5 kids per woman, well below replacement rate (2.1).
The latest ad from the Irish Government to the Irish people, who are the font of all problems in the country and desperately need to be stopped from their bad behaviour. This time, it's hugging your grandkids.

Incidence of rape in Ireland is 3 times higher than in Europe and has been getting worse every year for the past 15 years. But addressing the source of the problem is politically incorrect, so Irish politicians instead scold Nana for hugging her granddaughter, while doing nothing to protect the granddaughter from being raped.

If you’re confused, here’s what’s going on. The real epidemic is rape, and the rapists are *cough* politically inconvenient, so the Irish govt decided to make ads about “consent” generally, as though that makes any sense or will do anything to address the problem. Getting Irish grandparents to think twice about hugging their grandkids will do bupkis to persuade a migrant not to rape anyone. But progressives can’t conceive of any solution outside their own ideological assumptions and technocratic toolbox.

Myriam was a 7-year-old French Jewish girl. She witnessed a terrorist break into her school and kill two of her classmates. She tried to run but tripped while grabbing her schoolbag, causing her ballet slippers to fall out. She stopped to pick them up. He chased her and grabbed her by the hair, shooting her in the head at point-blank range. The man was Mohamed Merah, and a rap song honoring him and other Muslim terrorists has become the unofficial anthem of the ‘student protests’ in France.
The Democratic candidate outrage playbook: ☑️ Declare you'll never take a dime from AIPAC. ☑️ Fly to Israel, stage a confrontation, and turn being detained into a publicity opportunity. ☑️ Generate headlines and viral clips. ☑️ Ignore issues Americans care about - housing costs, health care, struggling schools, or making life more affordable. Brad can follow the playbook all he wants, but sooner or later he'll learn that the anti-Zionists will never accept him.
I’ve been detained by the IDF, along with a group of rabbis & volunteers. We were simply harvesting olives in a grove near Nehalim in the West Bank. The occupation is a crime under international law. Harvesting olives isn’t a crime under any law I know.

One of the more ignorant things I see on X all the time, including from @bradlander, is that Israel's presence in the WB is "illegal." No, it's not. Israel was attacked from Jordan in 1967. In that war, Israel captured the West Bank. It's not illegal to occupy territory captured in a war started by the other side until a peace agreement is reached. There has been no peace agreement. Things don't become illegal because you don't like them. And given that Israel offered several times to give almost all of the WB, plus land swaps from Israel to make up for the remaining territory, the reason the territory remains under Israeli control is the Palestinian side's refusal to accept those offers.

Horrific news: Australian MP Helen Haines will never walk again as a result of Monday’s far-left terror attack. Doctors had to amputate both her legs. Her attacker was radicalised on the fringes of the Palestine movement in Australia. He supported the Houthis and expressed support for Hamas. The anti-Israel movement in Australia has so much blood on its hands. 15 dead at Bondi and now an Australian MP forced to amputate both legs. Out of control. The anti-Zionists are literally a biblical plague on any nation that allows their movement to fester

🚨 NEW: For the @WSJ, @Hartz_PhD and I expose the ideological takeover of the American Psychological Association. The APA is facing the possible loss of its federal accreditation authority following allegations of widespread antisemitism. But while the APA's antisemitism problem is serious, it's only a symptom of a much deeper ideological rot. The organization has become so captured by radical left-wing political activism that its commitment to scientific objectivity competence is now in serious doubt. We examined the program for this year's major APA Division 39 conference, which drew nearly 800 attendees and held 90 panels over four days. By our count, roughly 70 of the 90 panels were overtly political, and always left-wing. Topics included abolishing the family, queer anarchist psychoanalysis, dismantling gender assessment guidelines, and white supremacy. One session even concluded with a drag show. There was at least some hope that the threat of losing federal accreditation might prompt some institutional soul-searching. It didn't. Instead, APA members just elected Candice Hargons as their next president. Her campaign identifies "systemic intersectional oppression" as the profession's "common enemy" and calls for rejecting the traditional scientific notions of objectivity. Psychologists wield enormous influence over vulnerable patients, and the people seeking treatment deserve the peace of mind knowing that the care they're receiving care is evidence based and not tainted radical politics. We believe most would agree that federal accreditation should actually mean something. If the APA cannot distinguish its scientific mission from its political activism, the Education Department should reconsider whether it deserves the government's endorsement as an authority over psychological training. The reports of deception and tendentious reporting at @BBCArabic keep coming, as they have for years, and on a scale that should have caused alarm bells to sound long ago for those charged with overseeing its activity. What should we understand about how this keeps happening?
While the English-language @BBCNews disclosed a Gaza official’s Hamas ties in 75% of articles, @BBCArabic hid those same ties in 91 of 93 reports. @JewishChron highlights CAMERA's audit exposing BBC Arabic’s systemic whitewashing of Hamas sources. 🔗: thejc.com/news/world/bbc-ara…
