66,000. That's how many Arizonans dropped ACA marketplace coverage this year as the enhanced subsidies expired. 36,000 lose Medicaid on Oct 1. By March/April another 200,000 lose Medicaid. Add on the massive provider shortage. It's not just a health crisis — it's a hospital and AHCCCS crisis Uncompensated care doesn't vanish, it shifts. It's probably the biggest story that gets near zero attention.

New CDC data: AZ now has the 5th lowest childhood MMR vaccination rate in the country. That's not a culture war stat — it's an impending outbreak. Measles herd immunity needs 95% coverage. I'll be watching Maricopa County numbers when school year data lands this fall.

Today @NateSilver538 released his election forecast models (which nearly mirror my own). If you want to see them you will have to subscribe to him. Went back through that @AARP poll and the real story should be the State Legislative Generic score of D+3. When I added that into my own election model it upends a ton of races and control of the chambers:

Outstanding groundbreaking event today for @asuhealth - great to see leaders on health policy like @CarineWerner and @SelinaBliss who played key roles in getting us here plus @GovernorHobbs and @MayorGallego were there to move those shovels.

ATTENTION: People of the legislature. He’s back.
