The thing I'll miss most is being able to listen to and learn from incredibly diverse groups of people. I sincerely hope we're able to build another place like that. In the mean time, a raised glass to the folks sticking around to Tumblr the place. For me, more time for Korean.
My first entry for #Inktober . The day 1 prompt was 가울 (autumn) so I made a leaf pile monster. #BAInktober #그림토버
Day 24 for #Inktober. The prompt was 관악 (wind instrument). I really like this monster but either she doesn’t know how to play the flute or I don’t know how to correctly draw someone playing the flute. 😂 #BAInktober #그림토버
Day 25 for #Inktober. The prompt was 화 투 (playing cards). I really like how this one turned out! #BAInktober #그림토버
Is "WhatApp had 35 engineers, so why does this company need ###?" the new "They can put a man on the moon, but they can't do X?" A meaningless comparison indicating how little the speaker understands the complexities of other problem?
I have hit Slack's "forward" button so many time this week thinking it was a "reply" button. I really hope it's working for most people, but it's driving me mad - it just looks too much like the reply icon in email which is fairly hardwired into my brain at this point.
If he’s buying it because he “loves humanity”, were he and humanity on a break when he was trying to get out of the deal?
100 times this. The best home cook I know is from Mexico (makes amazing Mexican food) and her family will sometimes get food from Taco Bell. When I asked they said, "Sometimes we don't want Mexican food. We want Taco Bell. Plus, that's where you get Baja Blast."

Day 1 of Lingoda Spanish sprint. I haven't studied Spanish in 20 yrs, but understood almost everything discussed in class (held entirely in Spanish). There were family terms I didn't know (nuera, madrastra, etc). I also learned "me cae fatal" which seems useful. 🤣 #LingodaSprint
Day 2 and 3 were for pretérito (indefinido, perfecto & imperfecto). Lots of having to think about how far in the past an event was, if it happened in a fixed point or not and if it has an ongoing effect on current events being referenced. #LingodaSprint
I (clearly) haven't kept up, but, I had my 14th lesson (focusing on inviting people to events/hang out). My teacher's feedback - Good comprehension and pronunciation....needs work on the grammar 🤣 If everything were present tense, this wouldnt be a problem for me! #LingodaSprint

Taylor Swift said each of the tracks on "Midnights" are about nights she lost sleep and yet none of them are named "Refactoring the Button Component." She's not like me.

I'm so glad folks care about the strategy and effectiveness of direct actions this morning. I'm even more glad its folks I rarely see involved in consistent direct action planning of any kind.

Black and Indigenous activists are demanding L.A. City Council President Nury Martinez step down after a recording of her saying racist comments surfaced.
"How is it that they're going to serve a group of people that they talk so awful about?" says @OdiliaRomero of @mycielola.
