It passed overwhelmingly. There was another amendment that the legislature put on that was trying to put more money away in some fund and stuff, and I was very much against it. The Republican Party of Florida endorsed the amendment. This was the first Amendment 1. I came out strong against it. It needed 60 to pass. It got 41%. Why? Because people said, if Governor DeSantis says this is bad for Florida, I'm a no on it. That was all they needed to hear from me, was that this was bad. Why? Because they trusted me. Why? Because I stood in the fire during COVID. I respond during hurricanes. I've delivered school choice. I've delivered all this other stuff. So then, when you have to go to the voters and say, hey, property tax, let's get it done, boom, they're yes. This Amendment 1, bad, boom, they're a no.”
