🇷🇺🇺🇦 RUSSIA TO KYIV: DON’T RUIN VICTORY DAY OR ELSE Putin announced a 3-day ceasefire around Russia’s big WWII Victory Day celebration on May 9, where world leaders — including China’s Xi — are expected to attend. Zelensky said he’s open to a pause, but wants 30 days instead of 3, and warned that Ukraine can’t guarantee anyone’s safety in Moscow during an ongoing war. Russia's Security Council Deputy Chairman, Dmitry Medvedev: "(Zelensky) understands that in the event of a real provocation on Victory Day, nobody will be able to guarantee that Kyiv will live to see May 10." 🇷🇺 KREMLIN BLASTS TRUMP-UKRAINE MINERALS DEAL: “KYIV IS PAYING FOR AID WITH ITS LAND” Russia's Security Council Deputy Chairman, Dmitry Medvedev: "Trump has broken the Kyiv regime [to the point where] they will have to pay for U.S. aid with mineral resources. Now they will have to pay for military supplies with the national wealth of a disappearing country." Meanwhile, peace talks remain frozen. Zelensky says legally he can’t surrender Crimea For Putin, however, Crimea and the 4 annexed regions are “ours forever.” Source: @ZeroHedge, NewsNation

🇺🇸 JPMORGAN ANALYST ADMITS TO SELF-CENSORSHIP ON TRUMP TARIFF PLAN In a rare moment of candor, JPMorgan strategist Michael Cembalest—hailed by Jamie Dimon as “one of our firm’s great thinkers”—ended a 45-minute presentation on Trump’s tariffs with an eyebrow-raising admission: he redacted parts of the report out of caution. Michael Cembalest, JPMorgan analyst: "I withheld certain material with my firm and colleagues in mind." He had just described the plan as a “sledgehammer, brute force” strategy—before pausing himself. Trump’s 90-day tariff freeze may have cooled markets, but not the nerves. Source: Bloomberg

Today, @Ripple announced the acquisition of Hidden Road for $1.25B, one of the largest deals ever in the crypto space. But the price tag isn’t what’s most important – it’s that this deal marks a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for crypto to access the largest and most trusted traditional markets, and vice versa. Prime brokers (along with other key functions historically managed by banks for the most part) like Hidden Road have proven themselves as *the* trusted intermediary for the largest hedge funds, market makers, OTC desks, quant traders and more. Ripple has been a customer of Hidden Road for years, and we know their breadth of expertise firsthand, clearing $3 TRILLION annually for 300+ of the top financial institutions globally. This is the capital and activity that will tap into XRP and the XRP Ledger’s bread-and-butter – instant, efficient, scalable and low cost movement of value. Instead of waiting for <24 hours to settle trades through fiat rails, Hidden Road will be using XRPL for clearing a portion of trades, and most consequentially, using RLUSD as collateral across its prime brokerage services, including cross-asset (crypto and traditional instrument) trades. With this deal and the backing of Ripple’s significant balance sheet, Hidden Road will exponentially expand its capacity to service its pipeline and become the largest non-bank prime broker globally. Ripple and Hidden Road combined are a generational leap forward, ready to truly bring the worlds of traditional and decentralized finance together. ripple.com/ripple-press/ripp…

This meeting occurs roughly twice a month and was scheduled on April 3rd. This is not an emergency Fed meeting.

I don’t think the bull cycle is over. Let me provide a glimmer of hopium as there are always more perspectives to be had in this space… Things to consider: Despite some weakening momentum (e.g., RSI cooling off), Bitcoin still hasn’t convincingly broken below key supports. It’s still just holding onto the 200-day moving average, suggesting the broader uptrend has not been completely invalidated. Also, On-chain metrics aren’t fully bearish—Bitcoin’s MVRV-Z score (~1.82) remains well below typical cycle-top levels and roughly 73% of supply is illiquid in strong hands. This implies many holders aren’t capitulating, tempering the bear case. And then there are the macroeconomic factors. With so much uncertainty, liquidity conditions could easily turn supportive: China is injecting liquidity, and a possible Fed rate pivot, risk assets like Bitcoin could gain a tailwind. Further, it was only just yesterday that after weeks of net outflows, a single-day inflow of about $274 million occurred — the largest in over a month. This hints that institutional interest can swiftly return. Lastly, Market Psychology: Sentiment is cautious, which paradoxically can be healthy. The crypto Fear & Greed Index recently sank into “Extreme Fear”, yet major bull cycles tend to end in euphoria – I don’t remember being euphoric. Do you remember being euphoric? --- While concerns are valid, these cross-currents suggest it’s premature to call this a definitive bear market. Not every viewpoint captures the full picture—keep your eyes open, stay flexible, and remember it’s crypto: anything can happen 🫡

This is it – the moment we’ve been waiting for. The SEC will drop its appeal – a resounding victory for Ripple, for crypto, every way you look at it. The future is bright. Let's build.
