We cannot understate the value of investigative journalists who give survivors of abuse a voice in these times. When victims of SA see endless cases of police abusing women, 1.5% charge rates for rape + police saying even they wouldn't report rape, journalists become a lifeline.

I never do these, but story time: I was polite to a dude at a salsa bar at a restaurant 3 months ago. He asked where I was from and what I did for work and I told him. He was familiar with the city I live in and asked which school I taught at, so I mentioned the name.
