PR pro-tip: Don’t blame your earpiece or the connection to dodge journalist questions during a live media interview. As this exchange shows, such an evasion speaks volumes and can do more damage to your credibility than a straightforward answer would have.
"Talk about an October surprise."
CNN: This gas price spike is stunning. Voters were already very mad about high gas prices. Now they're going much higher. Talk about an October surprise. Two days ago, the average in Michigan was $4.44 a gallon. Look where we are now. $4.77 a gallon. That's a $0.33 increase. Look at Ohio, another major battleground state. We're looking at a $0.39 increase in the last two days.

Dr. Luigi Carbone and Professor Stefano Margaritora said on Wednesday evening that a subsequent oncological assessment has confirmed that “no further treatment is necessary.”

Pope Leo XIV's surgery confirmed that he has lung cancer and he had the lower lobe of his right lung removed, the Vatican said Tuesday.
The tests confirmed a diagnosis of lung adenocarcinoma, the Vatican said in a medical bulletin after the surgery. It said the diagnosis had been suspected by preoperative tests and was confirmed during surgery.

Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn’t afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me. Wow, dude. You’re an idiot and just lost a huge sale. But y’all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman. For sure, check it out 👎

Every kid who went to Catholic school had to write papers on this in social justice classes, and the consistency of pro life position. It is not new policy but is getting new attention due to what American political leaders are saying about execution and public execution.
The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty

"My life has been a miracle...because of this game."
One of the top reasons #DaBears fans love Mike Ditka: he made us feel like we were on the journey with him. He loved every minute and, even on days when he raged, it was evident how good it all felt. He made us feel it, too.
Rest in Peace, Coach Iron Mike Ditka
It’s with a heavy heart that I’m sharing the Ditka family has announced the passing of Mike Ditka this morning.
Da Coach. Hall of Famer. The heartbeat of the ’85 Bears and a Super Bowl champion. Chicago won’t be the same.
Prayers to Diana and the family.
RIP, Coach. 🐻⬇️
Here’s a statement from the family:
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Mike Ditka. While the world knew Mike as a Hall of Fame football player, legendary coach, and leader of the Chicago Bears’ Super Bowl XX championship team, we knew him as the heart of our family. Mike will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever.
With love and gratitude, The Ditka Family
