I’ve Had It podcast issues smug “apology” as show sponsors flee after hosts Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan couldn’t stop giggling at the thought of digging up Charlie Kirk’s corpse and killing him a 2nd time. Cash App, Chewy, and others have stopped sponsoring the show. Pathetic “apology” and it’s a shame companies are still supporting this show.

This is evil. Demonic, even.
Jennifer Welch's reaction here should tell you everything you need to know about her.

Jennifer Welch has learned nothing. Charlie wasn’t murdered by the 2nd Amendment or because someone mishandled a firearm. He was murdered by a political assassin - a culture they roundly endorse with every laugh, snicker, and vile joke at his expense. But of course, she knows that. She and her co-host laughed uncontrollably because they’re actually happy Charlie is dead. If they apologize for being part of a toxic and evil culture that perpetuates violence against conservatives, I might actually be willing to listen. Until then, I hope and I pray every sponsorship dollar continues to dry up until they are left without a cent to make any more insulting, half-hearted donations to their pet causes. This isn’t about politics, it’s about basic human decency, something they still very clearly lack.

Interesting
The governor-elect of Texas, Gina Hinojosa, has explicitly said that all currently permitted datacenters in Texas will be allowed to finish construction. This essentially covers all of the 2027 and likely well into 2028. She is going to pass laws that ensure that all *newly* permitted datacenters going forward for delivery in 2028/2029 will pay taxes, commit to no increase in power prices for consumers, don’t impact water availability for people, be constructed with union labor and give “Texans a seat at the table.” Sounds reasonable. She doesn’t want to lose a lot of good blue collar jobs and property taxes for small towns in rural Texas. Datacenter commentary starts at 6:30 in this interview. Also attaching her official campaign position from her website in the next post. Sidenote: After watching a bunch of her speeches and interviews, I do think she is a political talent and probably has a future in national politics. youtu.be/D-T6H3b8ZeE?is=mEWu…

If costs mattered, not one California politician would ever be re-elected. If results mattered, you wouldn't have uniparty rule in this failed state for a generation. People vote for vibes and the brand. Everything else is faux rationalizing.
Wow, so much wisdom here: “If you think that high prices lost the election for the right, you don't understand marketing.”

Last night is exactly why no President has dealt with Iran before now We don't reward Presidents for acting in the best long-term interest of the country We reward them for avoiding difficult decisions if it means we don't have to make any sacrifices during any given 2yr period

Let me help, and I’ll do those for a lot less than what you’re paying others to tell you. Find out what this guy did and said to win a district by double digits Talarico also won by double digits, and then do and say the same.
🚨 IT'S OFFICIAL: Rep. BRANDON GILL (R-TX) reelected to Congress THANK GOD! We CAN'T lose this absolute rising star 🇺🇸🇺🇸

My party got crushed last night and you know what? I’m not threatening to flee to Canada or trashing my country, because unlike the left, I see my country as more than a vehicle to political power. This is my home. And I’ll never stop fighting for it.

Wise words, as usual from @josephbackholm:
Clearly not a good night for Republicans. Quick thoughts: 1. It was Trump. Tariffs and Iran seem most relevant to me. 2. I regret nothing. It was understood that there was a cost to Trump. The cost of Hillary would have been MUCH greater. 3. Trump was useful in exposing and stopping leftism. I'm thankful he did that, but he had neither the temperment nor worldview to create a vision of what we should aspire to as a nation. But someone has to. 4. This was a rebuke of Trump, not an endorsement of leftism. But, as with Biden, the people running the Ds will interpret this to mean that America really does want taxpayer funded sex change for prisoners and they will be wrong. 5. There is no chance Ds use this opportunity well. Their worldview is incapable of constructing something helpful. So the country will be ready for someone hopeful and aspirational who isn't a socialist. Rubio and DeSantis seem the most likely candidates to me.

This is actually such a perfect description of the left/right dynamic, but I'm not sure the OP actually understands why. What do they tell you in the emergency instructions on a flight? Put on your mask FIRST, then help your kids. You must be "selfish" in order to be of service to others. While leftist worldview may appear noble, it's actually very impractical and counterproductive in the real world. The right wing worldview is what builds, maintains, and rescues societies, though on a superficial level it appears to be selfish and icky. This is how you see very good-natured, well-intentioned people fall into highly destructive socialist dogma; its veneer of virtue and selflessness is irresistible. They're not bad people (though the commie street animals are), they just have never built anything, nor rescued anything, nor dealt with an emergency, etc...so they don't understand how things actually work. In BLS/First Responder training they'll test you with a hypothetical question: Let's say you're a firefighter. You're out mowing the lawn in front of the station, and you witness a massive car wreck. What's the first thing you do? Most people reasonably say "run over and extract the driver" or "call for the ambulance and grab a fire extinguisher", and they fail. The correct answer is: turn off the lawnmower. If you don't slow down and do that first, it'll roll off into the street and cause even more destruction. The first principle of emergency response is: ensure the scene is safe. There's no point in initiating a "rescue" if it's not safe, and you, yourself, need to be rescued. While the average person might be outraged because a first responder is not darting over to the patient with enough haste, it's because they do not understand how things can break bad. There's a checklist of procedures that has been developed over centuries, written in blood, that informs how they do things, and in what sequence. And what may appear "selfish" is actually just...responsible and pragmatic.

This analysis is on-the-nose. Tonight is a repudiation of Trump but not an endorsement of leftism.

God is still on the throne. He was on the throne yesterday. He’s on the throne tonight. And He’ll be on the throne tomorrow when you wake up. Some of tonight’s results are heartbreaking. More states writing abortion up to the moment of birth into their constitutions. Leaders who call themselves Christians while rejecting what Scripture plainly teaches about life, marriage, and God’s design for male and female. As a lifelong Californian, I know what it looks like when bad policy wins election after election. Let me be clear: no political party is perfect, and there is corruption in a lot of places. No candidate is perfect, because none of us are. We will always be voting for the lesser of two evils. But there is a difference between a fallen candidate and one who is actively pushing evil. Vote with that in mind. But Praise the Lord, we don’t vote for a savior. We already have one! “Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 So it’s okay to be upset. Just don’t lose hope, and don’t check out. This is the moment for Christians to get engaged, not discouraged. Know what your Bible says about life, marriage, border, and sexuality.
Vote according to truth, not talking points.
Watch for wolves in sheep’s clothing.
Share the gospel and keep standing for what is right. The fight didn’t end tonight. And the ultimate victory was already won.

The unfortunate truth is assassinating your political opponents works when the rule of law doesn't do anything to punish the side that committed it. The assassination of Charlie Kirk was a successful assassination for this reason. The left got what they wanted, the right is more disorganized and divided than ever.
Probably not a great sign for the future that celebrating the murder of your political opponents seems to have zero electoral consequences
