>likes from people who like everything will start counting less
~14 hours ago, 𝕏 updated the algorithm (again). There are a few new things worth noting: β€’ New "user debias" model: adjusts engagement based on how "generous" each viewer is β€’ Likes from people who like everything will start counting less β€’ Engagement from "picky" users who rarely interact will count more β€’ Engagement pods and "like for like" groups got weaker β€’ Some general search improvements β€’ Media (video and image) are now tracked as their own signals What still matters most: β€’ Posting high-quality, original content β€’ Replies (5x) and quotes (5x) are weighted far above likes (0.5x) β€’ Shares via DM (5x) and copy link (20x) are the strongest positive signals β€’ A predicted follow is worth 4x β€’ Reports, mutes, blocks, and "not interested" are heavily negative β€’ Posts older than 48 hours drop out of For You β€’ Posting too much in a row decays your reach TL;DR: regardless of algo changes, just focus on producing content that is unique to you.

Leftist's stay open to discourse Challenge Impossible:
A lot of the commentary on Piker from MPLS folks has skipped over any sort of objective measurement of what people think about him: Maybe he's such a relative unknown that embracing or rejecting him won't move the needle..but it's very telling that progs in close races aren't

The 3 interactions that this weird person has had w/ me have been to say I am friendly with Nazism, call me a Nazi, & to call me a pedophile. They are followed by a good number of local MPLS users. @ThaCapm you seem unwell. Your existence online is toxic. You should log off.
Globe emoji makes very clear that he is friendly to Nazism and openly seeks to collaborate with it

Ben Shapiro started pushing for a pardon in Mar '25. There was a moment of silence for Chauvin at the Republican Party State Convention in May '26 (along w/ calls for a new trial). Demuth has given standard non-answers about this previously (in the wake of the moment of silence)
Why should Demuth answer a gotcha question about Chauvin? To pardon Chauvin it would take agreement from the AG, the Chief Justice, and the governor. Pretty sure no matter what he won’t be pardoned. Demuth has been rightly focused on the rampant fraud In Minnesota.

Does all this make it a gotcha question? Is it a gotcha question to ask a Republican who won the presidential election in 2020? Also, this isn't actually what a "gotcha question" is in politics. Randomly quizzing her on foreign leaders or obscure policy trivia might be gotcha

questions, but asking a politician a question about if they would use their power to pursue a specific action that others in their party have called for is not a gotcha question. This is just an uncomfortable q. for y'all to deal with, & she's given bad answers to it thus far.

"highly regarded barbecue establishment"
As many of you may recall, this location previously housed a highly regarded barbecue establishment. Democrats have destroyed Minneapolis.

The year is 2035. Minneapolis is now comprised solely of weed dispensaries. All the restaurants have gone under except a single AI food truck selling 30 dollar hot dogs

I think this is a pretty terribly argued piece, primarily because of what it says (& doesn't say!) for reason #2: The sum total of evidence marshalled to defend the proposition that Tafoya is moderate is....Pat says she is moderate. That's it! Bare assertion, nothing else.
πŸ’―- completely agree with my friend @PatGarofalo - if MN voters promote those that allowed us to be defrauded we are suckers, and we will never get the govt we deserve - accountability must be delivered by us - MN voters need to send a message right now startribune.com/mn-midterm-e…

There's no evaluation of her record (what record??), no weighing of her staked out positions on hot-button issues, no grappling with anything she has said or done. Pat's entire argument is: She's a moderate guys, trust me. The same section continues with more bare assertion:

Oh! I guess she'd be a great legislator cause Pat said. Why? How? Β―\_(ツ)_/Β― She has no exp. legislating, no connections, no pol. allies. She's been a media personality her entire professional life, this is the *exact* recipe for someone who would be a performative activist/pol.

If you’re not an Iowa voter who has voted for Trump before then please shut the fuck up because you’re not the intended audience of this ad If you’re criticizing this then you’re not a swing voter in Iowa.
#IAPol: "No Iowan should face discrimination. As a Paralympian, I also know it's important to have rules. It's why I oppose males competing in female sports ... I'm against taxpayers paying for sex changes, too." Josh Turek is up with a new #IASen ad. Future reservations: πŸ”΅$18.0M πŸ”΄$15.5M

It's hard to have conversations with leftists because they just spend all day in a rigid, strictly-policed epistemic bubble of discourse. I don't know if it's the "everyone is twelve now" theory at work, or if they're all bots, but it makes it v. challenging to engage with them.
Wild to say this when Craig still supports ICE and when Frey guys were on this very app pushing anti Somali fear mongering prior to metro surge. There are also freaks dogpiling Ilhan in the dfl while the gop attacks her. Selective memory is very obvious here.

Doesn't matter to Empty Cars! They've got an ideological axe to grind, which means it's okay for them to: 1. Not respond to Sean's actual point 2. Bring up unrelated attack lines 3. Pretend a new bill (CORCA) is the ultimate litmus test for deciding if a pol supports ICE

This is bad behavior, makes for toxic discourse, yet it still collects dozens of likes despite being absolute bad-faith slop arguing.

Leftists* not spread weird lies about their ideological enemies Challenge (Impossible) *Most of these folk are probably bots, but if they aren't they definitely need to touch grass.
Replying to @JurffTT @Vibutler_
His subservience to the PD who have egregiously overblown their budget is plenty of evidence for the claims Violet made. Regardless, you may want to stay out of this one (and everything else), considering the globe emoji is a known dogwhistle signalling support for RW pedophiles
