The Forbes Border Post in Mutare handles 55% of all strategic cargo moving through the Port of Beiraโ€ฆ And, currently, 1100 trucks pass through the border every day. President @edmnangagwaโ€™s govt is already UPGRADING the Forbes Border Post to a World Class border postโ€ฆ This is Zimbabweโ€™s gateway to the Indian Ocean, just 300 km away from the City of Beira in Mozambique. ED2030 is for more world class infrastructure ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Governments do not create jobs, INVESTORS doโ€ฆ. Whether local or foreign, itโ€™s INVESTMENT that leads to job creationโ€ฆ When you have a FOCUSED leader like President @edmnangagwa, investors FEEL COMFORTABLE to invest in the countryโ€ฆ President Ruto wouldnโ€™t have referred the Investor to President Mnangagwa if he didnโ€™t have confidence in the gentlemanโ€™s leadership!

Itโ€™s a MASSIVE vote of Confidence in President @edmnangagwaโ€™s govt, and a great head start for the newly appointed Minister of Economic Development & Investment Promotion, Dr Tagwirei. Infrastructure projects create thousands of direct & indirect jobs for Zimbabweansโ€ฆ they also boost businesses in the construction value chainโ€ฆ Zimbabwe has an infrastructure deficit, a barrier to accelerated growthโ€ฆ For example, the Bulawayo - Victoria Falls highway is a vital economic corridor but itโ€™s in a state of disrepairโ€ฆ Fixing that road will unlock lots of economic opportunities! CBZ, through an infrastructure bond, has stepped up to fund road construction in Zimbabweโ€ฆ this is coming after Stanbic Bank agreed to fund the Chirundu Border Post upgradeโ€ฆ. We are entering a new era where local banks are directly involved in funding public infrastructure projects, something that will relieve pressure on the fiscus and speed up the completion of these projects. Zimbabwean banks can grow bigger & be able to provide much-needed funding to local businesses & for infrastructure projects IF the SAVING CULTURE is brought back! The @ReserveBankZIM & @TreasuryZW need to work together on finding ways to bring money from Pillows to Bank Vaultsโ€ฆ Some Zimbabweans prefer taking their money to banks in South Africa, depriving local banks of Deposit Funding. If more people use banks, it means the banks will have more capacity to finance cars, houses, business loans, & even public infrastructure! Zimbabwe is still under sanctions, itโ€™s wiser to develop local financing capabilities instead of waiting for foreign lenders!

The so-called succession issue is dominating social media, yet it seems far removed from the reality on the ground especially among those who matter. Having a preferred candidate in politics, the church, an organisation, football or the community is normal. That is human nature. The trouble begins when a handful of social media likes are turned into assumptions and hearsay. Before I continue, let me ask: who still remembers the late Cde Geza and self-proclaimed successionist Mawarire making claims about our beloved Presidentโ€™s health makuhwa enhema without a single shred of evidence? They were pushing cheap propaganda. Today, the same narrative is resurfacing as we approach November, a significant month in Zimbabweโ€™s political calendar because it was when our former President resigned. The reality is that President ED Mnangagwa @edmnangagwa constitutionally holds office. The party has endorsed him as its candidate for 2030, and that decision should be respected as part of the democratic process. To those hoping that the events of 2017 will repeat themselves: Mukai mubike doro, muti midzimu yakurashayi. Those events will never happen again.

Today, our Regional Economic Community sends one message to the world: we seek the complete and unconditional lifting of sanctions on our sister nation, the Republic of Zimbabwe. This yearโ€™s commemoration is especially important as we are increasingly aware of the global geopolitical and economic challenges of recent years and their significant effects on our national and regional economies. The sanctions imposed on the Republic of Zimbabwe therefore create an additional burden for its people amid an already challenging continental and international environment We therefore appreciate the theme guiding this yearโ€™s commemoration of SADC Anti-Sanctions Day, which underscores the need to transform the global approach to the current sanctions against Zimbabwe and fully liberate the country and its people, enabling them to achieve their rightful socio-economic fulfilment. Zim opposition is still full of non thinking adultsโ€ฆ. A grown men who still believes that Zimbabweโ€™s internal affairs have to be dictated by a group born out of colonialism???
I support Zimbabwe's readmission to the Commonwealth, but it must be guided by the 1991 Harare Declaration. Following Sir Lindsay Hoyle's meeting with Speaker Mudenda, I ask: Did they discuss the disputed parliamentary committee, CAB3, the PVO Act, shrinking civic space and Zimbabwe's compliance with Commonwealth principles? Or are Britain's economic interests taking precedence over democratic values? Zimbabwe must return not only to the Commonwealth, but to its principles.

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Today marks SADC Anti-Sanctions Day. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ In 2019, the 39th SADC Summit designated October 25 as โ€œAnti-Sanctions Dayโ€, urging a handful of Western countries and organisations to lift the illegal sanctions against Zimbabwe ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ผ. For over two decades, these unjust unilateral sanctions have gravely trampled on Zimbabweโ€™s sovereignty, eroded its peopleโ€™s right to development, and held back Southern Africaโ€™s pursuit of shared progress. ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ ๐Ÿค ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ผ China reaffirms its unwavering solidarity with Zimbabwe. We consistently support Zimbabwe's position against external interference and its pursuit of independent development. We urge relevant countries and organisations to heed global calls for justice, lift these illegal sanctions without further delay, and take tangible steps to advance Zimbabwe's economic revitalisation and deliver improved livelihoods for its people. #AntiSanctionsDay #SADC #ChinaZimbabweFriendship #SolidarityWithZimbabwe

Today, 25 October 2026, we mark SADC Anti-Sanctions Day and stand in solidarity with the people of Zimbabwe. SADC set aside this day in 2019 as a regional call for the unconditional lifting of sanctions on Zimbabwe. The United States ended its Zimbabwe-specific sanctions programme in 2024, but targeted sanctions remain on Zimbabwean individuals and entities under its Global Magnitsky programme. Those designated include: Individuals: - President Emmerson Mnangagwa - First Lady Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa - Vice President Constantino Chiwenga - Minister Oppah Muchinguri - Minister Owen Ncube - Minister Kudakwashe Tagwirei - ZNA Commander, Lt Gen Walter Tapfumaneyi - Commissioner-General Stephen Mutamba - Commissioner-General rtd. Godwin Matanga - Sandra Mpunga - Obey Chimuka Private entities - Sakunda Holdings - Fossil Agro - Fossil Contracting We regard these measures as unjustified and call on the United States and its allies to lift the remaining targeted sanctions unconditionally. These companies employ tens of thousands of people, support livelihoods and contribute to Zimbabweโ€™s economic growth. We also call on the U.S. Congress to repeal ZDERAโ€”the Zimbabwe Democracy and Economic Recovery Act. The 2024 decision to end the Zimbabwe-specific sanctions programme did not repeal this Act. ZDERA restricts U.S. support for certain IMF and World Bank lending and debt relief for Zimbabwe. While it does not impose a blanket ban on private U.S. investment, we believe its continued presence sends an unhelpful signal to American businesses considering investment in Zimbabwe. Repealing ZDERA would help build confidence and strengthen economic ties between our two nations Harare and Washington. @USEmbZim

President @edmnangagwa has done exceptionally well in an environment of BASELESS & ILLEGAL economic sanctions imposed on the people of Zimbabwe. Today is SADC anti-sanctions day & we urge @USEmbZim & @StateDept to remove all sanctions on Zimbabwe & Zimbabweans. American citizens & American businesses have a lot to gain from the removal of sanctions on Zimbabwe.

A massive congratulations to our Zimbabwe Sables on an incredible and hard-fought 36โ€“33 victory over Namibia today! Playing our first international match at this historic venue in over two decades, you showed true determination, resilience, and the unmistakable spirit of Zimbabwe. From our clinical execution at the set pieces, precision in the lineouts, to the decisive tactical kicking under pressure, it was a masterful display of rugby. Holding off a fierce comeback to secure this win right at the wire has made the entire nation immensely proud. Thank you to the technical team, the players, and the thousands of fans who came out to lift our boys today. This is a monumental step forward for Zimbabwean rugby. Keep flying the flag high, Sables! The problem here is that, folks in the opposition, have SELECTIVE OUTRAGEโ€ฆ Biti has ALWAYS been a source of lies, he makes up stuff all the timeโ€ฆ when the stuff is against those you hate, you all rush to believe himโ€ฆ He is OBVIOUSLY lying, the usual lies he tellsโ€ฆ in @BitiTendaiโ€™s mind, the lie achieves two things: alienates Chamisa from his supporters while also alienating Dr Tagwirei from ZANU PFโ€ฆ If you have been following his activities in the past year, you would have seen that Biti is now neck deep into ZANU PF internal politicsโ€ฆ
Biti is a Senior Lawyer, Senior opposition leader, ex Min of Fin & well regarded internationally. He knows that what he says carries weight. He also knows about the importance of credibility, honesty & integrity. So, in relation to the sensational allegations that Tagwirei funded the opposition, he has got the responsibility to provide credible evidence to flesh this out. Surely you can't just blurt out one sentence on social media in a manner that could be perceived as sensational & reckless on a subject of such sensitivity & importance - when you know that it's likely to be weaponised to delegitimise an already fractured & beleaguered opposition. I must say that, that same allegation was relayed to me with some degree of vehemence by some parties in a certain political camp & a few journalists way back, in the same generalised manner. I will leave this there. One would expect the following pertinent questions to be answered if this were true: a. How much was paid? b. How was it paid? c. To whom was it paid? d. When was it paid? e. Where was it paid? f. Where there any witnesses? If so, disclose who they are to help corroborate your allegations to make them credible. It's reasonable to assume that such funding, for elections would have involved a huge figure if true, and the sheer logistics of moving it to resource the whole party would have required the involvement of more than one person or one branch of the party, thereby rendering physical or digital footprints virtually impossible to avoid! At present the challenge is that the allegations are levelled against Nelson Chamisa and we all know that Biti & Chamisa fell out sometime ago. This creates a potential plausible motive for Biti that Chamisa is entitled to rely on to dismiss the allegations. The onus then shifts back to Biti to prove that his sensational allegations can stand up to scrutiny through the provision of compelling & verifiable evidence. As a rule of thumb, the more damaging the allegations made are by a party from a severed / strained relationship, the greater the responsibility to provide incontrovertible evidence in support of them to avoid charges of malice or bitterness. If you have got an important message or revelation, you ordinarily want it to be appreciated on its own merits & the best way of achieving this is by pre-empting charges of bias, malice or bitterness through putatively setting out compelling evidence because you ought to anticipate the potential backlash or pushback from supporters of the target of the allegations!
