That's a very harsh decision from Kavanagh.
Moments after he failed to penalise Guehi for wrestling Koumas to the ground, and failed to book Anderson for a tug on Gravenberch.

In 2022, Guardiola said of these accusations/his owners: "I said to them, 'If you lie to me, the day after I am not here. I will be out and I will not be your friend any more.'"
Yet he's still backing them in the face of this judgement, so the question now is: what did he know?
I want every single @ManCity fan to know I am here; more than ever. I am, always have been, always will, be behind my club, my owner, my chairman, Ferran, the players, staff, Enzo and you, our unique supporters.
Let me be clear: we will get through this together.
I love you all 🩵

🚨 RESPECT AU COMMENTATEUR SUISSE DAVID LEMOS 🇨🇭, QUI AU MOMENT DE RENDRE L'ANTENNE A PARFAITEMENT RÉSUMÉ LES ÉCHECS DE CE MONDIAL ! 👏
On a l'espoir que certaines choses seront relevées ET QU'ON NE LES REVERRA PLUS. » ❌

To answer the questions: The moment the ball makes contact with an outside object (in this case the camera cable) play becomes dead and should be restarted with a dropped ball.
VAR could have intervened as it was in the immediate attacking phase of play that directly led to England's goal.
FIFA, meanwhile, say they’ve "checked the data - no peak on the graph from the connected ball heartbeat sensor" 🙃

Champions league football secured. I never want to see this level of football again from Liverpool. This was accidental and due to other BAD competitors - not our brilliance.

Last game of the season for Liverpool. All the summer signings on the bench, one injured.

I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that.
Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it.
Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games.
Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on.
As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.

Divided fanbase?
The only division is whether to fire him this morning or this afternoon.
🥇| @JamesPearceLFC: "Rather than go some way to silencing his detractors among a divided fanbase, this was an afternoon when the Dutch head coach provided no shortage of ammunition for his critics."

To go from sticking 7, 5, 4, 3 goals past them when you’re bagging hat tricks to now watching this as you go out.
Can’t even imagine what Salah’s thinking right now. The culture of the club disappearing is exactly what he was speaking about in his interview.

Klopp was playing this against a team better than any team Slot has faced and going toe to toe with them game after game. Proper top manager. Not the negative slow football, influenced by fear of failure, dropping attackers, sitting deep and hoping like we see now.

Arne Slot continuously complaining about Premier League sides not wanting to play football then going to Paris with a back five to park the bus.
Funny.
