#FindsFriday is worn but still adorable. This little figurine is probably late #IronAge or Early #Roman. Figurines of this type known in both periods, with different animals being made. What do you think? Cow or Sheep? finds.org.uk/database/artefa… #recordyourfinds #metaldetecting

Surprised to have come across an old find that kind of works for #UkraineIndependenceDay. This Fragment of Frankish hinged bracelet fits a general form spread from Western #Europe to Hunnic grave in #Ukraine. finds.org.uk/database/artefa… #RecordYourFinds #MetalDetecting

#FindsFriday is an #OTD. In AD14 the first emperor of #Rome, Augustus formerly Octavian died. While famed in history and the longest reigning emperor his coinage remains relatively uncommon in Britain. This denarius is one such coin: finds.org.uk/database/artefa… #RecordYourFinds

#FindsFriday is something we don't see everyday the openwork terminal of an 11th or 12th century staff! Often associated with priest's croziers they appear to have been used more widely. finds.org.uk/database/artefa… #MetalDetecting #RecordYourFinds #ResponsibleDetecting

#findsFriday is a bit of a headscratcher. Usually we record an object as its final use. Was this medieval french Jetton a button, brooch or clasp? Regardless great example of an object changing use over time. finds.org.uk/database/artefa… #RecordYourFinds #ResponsibleDetecting

#FindsFriday is rather a corker. This #EarlyMedieval brooch shows features common on early brooches though also some found on late brooches of @rosieweetch 's type 4a. Where do you think it belongs? finds.org.uk/database/artefa… #RecordYourFinds #ResponsibleDetecting
