Thank you Lake Wales High School for stopping by the @PolkState Advanced Training Center. These students are exploring training options that will give them a great income, job security and critical skills. Polk State will get you there. Nice choice. 🦅💪🏻👊🏻
So worth the fight. 💪🏻👊🏻
It was an honor to host @AGJamesUthmeier on our @PolkState Winter Haven Campus today as he announced the Safe Screens Act. The proposed legislation supports stronger safeguards for minors on app stores, social media platforms, and AI chatbots.
This is deeply personal to me as the father of four daughters and as President of Polk State, home to three collegiate high schools and youth programs year-round. Thank you to Presidential Ambassador Alana Coombs, @PolkCoSheriff Grady Judd, and Florida Representative @JennKJonsson for their support and commitment to the safety of our children.
Congratulations Chairman Greg Littleton. Well earned. 🦅💪🏻👊🏻

Thank you to the @SUS_Florida Board of Governors for recognizing me this morning @UF for my service on the Board of Governors. Florida has the most affordable and accessible higher education system in the country. I am proud of that legacy and the work the Board will continue to do to advance student success throughout Florida's university system.
As president of @PolkState, I look forward to advocating for our students and creating additional pathways for them to achieve their dreams. Congratulations to @Polk_Athletics goalkeeper Sofia Zapata, @TheFCSAA Goalkeeper of the Week! This is a well-deserved honor for Zapata.
My daughters and I were wowed at the September 23 match against second-ranked Falcons, who she held scoreless for more than 89 minutes. Polk State Soccer and our student-athletes continue to make me proud — #SoarEagles!
Earlier this week, Polk State Soccer goalkeeper Sofia Zapata was named FCSAA Goalkeeper of the Week for her performance in the Eagles' 1-1 draw with then No. 2 Daytona State College. polkeagles.com/news/2026/9/2…

WATCH: USING A DEGREE FOR GOOD.
@PolkState Engineering Technology graduate Terrance King INVENTED Clean Box, a machine designed to transform the cleaning process at nursing homes.
This invention was inspired by the loss of his grandmother, who tragically passed away from an infection while at an assisted living facility.
Terrance is now meeting with assisted living facilities in Jacksonville to discuss Clean Box’s pilot program.
Thank you FL CFO & State Fire Marshal Blaise Ingoglia and Representative @JenniferCanady_ for highlighting the importance of Hurricane preparedness here in Polk County. At @PolkState we appreciate your leadership. 💪🏻

Thank you @orlandohealth for the life-changing investment in the students of @PolkState. The new Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Radiography Lab will be the region's first-in-class training facility. Let's Go! 🦅💪🏻👊🏻

It was an honor to join @USF_Pres Dr. Moez Limayem and my colleagues with the @FLCollegeSystem this morning at the @USouthFlorida in Tampa as we celebrated a decade of the Fuse Program.
Fuse is a structured 2+2 degree completion program that guarantees eligible state college students acceptance to USF. At @PolkState, our students become part of the USF culture before they even matriculate, with access to clear academic pathways, advising, and student life at both our college and the university.
With a 90% retention rate for Fuse Program participants, we know this partnership works.
