OBENG KELVIN FOSU

Earlier today, I had the great honour of launching the Michael Kwasi Aidoo Teachers’ Award to celebrate and appreciate our hardworking teachers in Oforikrom. Teachers are the backbone of our society. They sacrifice daily to shape our children and build our future, and it is only right that we honour them while they are alive. As part of the event, deserving teachers were awarded with 55-inch and 65-inch Televisions, Refrigerators, and Washing Machines in recognition of their dedication and outstanding service. I also made a special announcement, I have asked the Director of Education at the Municipal to accept applications from teachers who wish to further their education, and I will personally sponsor 5 teachers with scholarships to pursue further studies. This is my commitment to investing in the growth of our teachers. The event was graced by Amakomhene, Nana Adu Mensah Asare II, the Director of Education, the MCE, the former MCE, Constituency Executives, and constituents of Oforikrom. I am grateful to all of them for honouring our teachers with their presence. I also took the opportunity to inspect the renovation project I am undertaking for KNUST SHS, the renovation of their Science Laboratory. I am committed to ensuring our students learn in a good environment with the right facilities to excel in science. I further visited Deduako M/A to inspect the Ultramodern IT Lab I am building for them. I am happy to report that work has progressed steadily and the facility will soon be commissioned and handed over to the school for use. Congratulations to all the awardees. You deserve this recognition and more. Your service to Oforikrom will never be forgotten. I remain committed to supporting education and the welfare of our teachers. God bless our teachers. God bless Oforikrom. God bless mother Ghana. #MikeAidooMP #Teachers'Award #QualityEducation #StrongerTogether
