Actual socialism is fighting for locally owned grocery stores etc (which ime are usually on par with Lidl in terms of pricing but ymmv) and publically owned transport systems to allow ease of access. Socialism doesn’t have to give into corporations just bc it’s convenient.

In New Zealand voter ID is not required in fact all you have to give is your name and address in order to vote. This opens the door to massive voter fraud as has happened overseas. The idea it won't happen here is naivety 101.

Only property owners should vote. Owning property ties your financial future to the country’s future. I want voters asking what a policy does to the next twenty years, not just what it puts in their pocket next month.

Mac isn’t very intelligent. A brief education - every £ spent in a large supermarket leaves the local community the moment it is spent. LIDL’s owner is German. Local economies sending money to Germany doesn’t help that community. It is the most fundamentally basic economics.
