बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट में इलेक्शन कमीशन ने 6 लोगों का नाम वापस जोड़ने के कोर्ट के आर्डर पर दो हफ्ते की स्टे मांगी।
जज ने सवाल किया कि वोटर का नाम दुबारा जोड़ने के आदेश पर रोक। ये कैसा अनुरोध है?

घटना गोवा में हुई SIR से सम्बंधित है।
गोवा के सलगांवकर परिवार के छह लोगों का नाम वोटर लिस्ट से शिफ्टेड होने के कारण हट गया। उन्होंने फॉर्म 8 भरा जो शिफ्टेड वोटर के लिए है।
कमीशन ने फॉर्म 8 रिजेक्ट कर दिया। फिर अपील भी रिजेक्ट हो गयी।
कमीशन ने कहा फॉर्म 6 भरो, नए वोटर की तरह।
जज ने कमीशन से पूछा कि फॉर्म 8 रिजेक्ट होता है और फॉर्म 6 में झूठ लिखना पड़ता है। तो वोटर क्या करे?

गोवा के SIR एक खास वजह से चर्चा में था। 97 लोगों के कागज जांचने के बाद ERO ने उन्हें एलिजिबल पाया और कहा कि इनका नाम वोटर लिस्ट में रहना चाहिए।
लेकिन फिर भी उनका नाम लिस्ट में नही आया क्योंकि उनका नाम पहले ही ECINET में डिलीटेड मार्क हो चुका था और सॉफ्टवेयर में रोल बैक का कोई ऑप्शन ही नही है।
गोआ के CEO ने बार बार रोल बैक मांगा। 18 फरवरी को डिप्टी इलेक्शन कमीशनर संजय कुमार ने आई टी डिपार्टमेंट को चिट्ठी लिखी तो उन्हें बताया गया कि सॉफ्टवेयर में ये फीचर दिया ही नही गया।
यानी ये साबित हुआ कि ERO के कहने के बावजूद नाम नही जुड़े और ये सॉफ्टवेयर ERO के निर्णय को पलट देता है।
कोर्ट में हुई बहस में कमीशन ने कहा कि जिनका नाम वोटर लिस्ट में नही आया वह डिलिशन नही है बल्कि नॉन इनक्लूजन है और इसके लिए फॉर्म 6 है।
कोर्ट ने कमीशन को पकड़ते हुए कहा कि जब इनका नाम पहले था और बिना नोटिस, बिना सुनवाई हट गया तो ये नॉन इनक्लूजन नही डिलिशन है।
कमीशन कहता है कि शिफ्टेड वोटर फॉर्म 6 भरें। जबकि इसके लिए फॉर्म 8 है लेकिन कमीशन ने अपने सॉफ्टवेयर में फॉर्म 8 को बंद कर दिया।
इस पर कोर्ट ने आपत्ति जताई कि 1960 से चले आ रहे फॉर्म को कमीशन कैसे बंद कर सकता है?
अंत मे सुप्रीम कोर्ट में चल रहे केस की आड़ लेकर कमीशन ने अनुरोध किया कि SIR का मामला चूंकि सुप्रीम कोर्ट में पेंडिंग है इसलिए कोई आदेश न दिया जाए।
कोर्ट ने कहा ये SIR की वैधता और तरीके पर सुनवाई नही है। ये 6 लोगों के अधिकार का प्रश्न है। जिन्हें इससे वंचित कर दिया गया।
आखिर में जब कोर्ट ने 6 लोगों के हक में फैसला सुनाया तो कमीशन कुछ समय का स्टे मांगने लगा।

Injured UP Constable Dies After Ambulance Stuck in BJP Rally Traffic
A 22-year-old Uttar Pradesh Police constable, Pranshu Sachan, sustained critical injuries in a road accident in Fatehpur and was being taken by ambulance to Hallett Hospital in neighbouring Kanpur. According to his family, the ambulance was stuck for more than an hour and a half in severe traffic congestion linked to the BJP’s “Loktantra Bachao” rally. He succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital.

- खबर है कि पंचायत-निकाय चुनाव की मतदाता सूची और विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए तैयार की जा रही मतदाता सूची में 2.4 करोड़ मतदाताओं का अंतर है। ये किसके वोटर होंगे?
- सवाल यह है कि विशेष गहन पुनरीक्षण (SIR) के बावजूद करोड़ों मतदाता सूची से कैसे छूट गए? जबकि बीएलओ ने घर-घर जाकर सत्यापन किया था।
- अब छूटे हुए मतदाताओं को वोटर लिस्ट में जोड़ने के लिए अभियान चलाया जाएगा। पंचायत-निकाय और विधानसभा की मतदाता सूचियों का मिलान होगा और छूटे हुए मतदाताओं के नाम सूची में जोड़े जाएंगे।
- राशन कार्ड धारकों और सरकारी योजनाओं के लाभार्थियों की सूची के आधार पर भी छूटे हुए लोगों के नाम मतदाता सूची में शामिल किए जाएंगे।
- अगर चुनाव आयोग को पंचायत चुनाव की मतदाता सूची और सरकारी योजनाओं के लाभार्थियों की सूची के आधार पर ही विधानसभा चुनाव की मतदाता सूची अपडेट करनी थी, तो फिर #SIR कराने का क्या मतलब था?

Urgent Update
Extremely significant ECI communication following SC’s direction in Delhi SIR case
On October 28, 2026 in the Delhi SIR matter, the SC had observed that making deleted voters on ASDD list fill Form 6 was an ERROR. SC had said that such voters should be allowed to fill enumeration form/ Form 8 if they are marked as permanently shifted or as absent/ untraceable.
Today, the ECI has issued communication dated November 6, 2026 addressed to CEOs of Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Telangana and Nagaland on facilitating inclusion of left out voters. The communication states:
- Voters who are on ASDD list as they had shifted residence, can fill enumeration form along with a statement with details of their new address. In case of homeless persons, field verification by BLO will suffice.
- Voters who could not submit their enumeration form within the deadline and are on ASDD list can submit their enumeration form now along with a statement on why they were unable to do so earlier.
- All those on ASDD list who will now fill enumeration form along with the applicable statement will be re-assigned their old EPIC number. All such cases will be parked for inclusion in final voter list following due verification.
- Wide publicity must be given to all these initiatives, including through media, social media, announcements, reaching out through WhatsApp etc. and facilitation and assistance to be provided to voters.
We welcome this communication issued by the ECI. We believe this is an important step in addressing large scale exclusions caused during SIR. The provision to re-assign the old EPIC numbers is important as it will ensure preservation of voter’s historical record of being an existing voter. Just in Delhi, out of 47.56 lakh deleted in the first phase and put on ASDD, 31.59 lakh were marked as permanently shifted and 11.73 as absent/untraceable. The SC had observed that asking such people to fill Form 6 with its declaration of being a first time voter was an error.
We urge the CEO of Delhi and all other states to take immediate steps to operationalise these critical directions.

Karnataka govt’s petrol tests find ethanol blending above 20% in samples from seven districts.
The state tested 63 petrol samples collected across Karnataka from major oil companies, including IOCL, HPCL, BPCL, Shell and Nayara.
After oil marketing companies failed to clearly disclose ethanol content, the government sent the samples to private labs.
Results of Ethanol blend :
IOCL: 31.2%+
HPCL: 30.5%
HPCL: 27%
BPCL: 26.5%
Nayara: 26.1%
Shell: 25.5%
Bengaluru was among the seven districts where samples exceeded the 20% ethanol limit.
Karnataka will send its report to the Centre.

Five weeks ago we reported that two Election Commissioners had objected 14 times in 10 months, revealing an unprecedented rift inside the Election Commission.
Since then the Commission has reversed course on almost EVERY move the two Commissioners had
red-flagged.
The last was Form 6.
The SIR declaration is now out of the online form everywhere, including the states where the SIR is still running. It’s a separate declaration now.
With this, the reversal is complete. Let me explain.

Individuals named as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-appointed Booth Level Agents (BLAs), and listed as ‘objectors’ in at least 77% of the total 1,021 deletion applications filed so far in Delhi’s Mustafabad constituency, have largely denied any association with filing Form 7s as part of the continuing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the city.
The Hindu contacted all 20 BLAs registered with the BJP, according to the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) records, who are named as filing the 787 Form 7s, which cite reasons such as “absent/permanently shifted”, “already enrolled” and “death” to seek the deletion of electors’ names.

#Imp: It is a matter of grave concern that the BJP government is unable to resolve its internal rebellion within the Cabinet, because of which the much-required Cabinet Reshuffle is pending for a long time.
India still does not have a full-time, exclusive Education Minister. Things are so bad that Hardeep Puri who was set to be dropped due to concerns over his Epstein connects could arm-twist his way to re-election to Rajya Sabha. Many Cabinet Ministers are refusing to resign.
Given all this, the BJP is targeting NCP and Shiv Sena factions to desperately show "strength" to people. They haven't been able to digest the fact that people are increasingly REJECTING such cheap, corrupt politics. Breaking regional parties, forming illegal governments, luring MPs MLAs through money power, targeting political opponents through personal attacks and launching extremely desperate campaigns like "main nahi jaunga" shows that the government of the day has become increasingly insecure about its grip on power and realises that their end is nearing.
Couple all of these with SIR-Gyanu-Election Commission fraud and a general doubt in regular citizen's mind about elections, you have a government that has already lost its moral authority to stay in power.
It's unfortunate that our country has to go through this. But the young have shown the way forward by rejecting cheap politics and this broken, corrupt system. It is a matter of great pride that India's youth is, in one voice, asking for better, a change. The government has spent around 20-25 crores on personally attacking some of us so far, but little do they realise that the alarm bells are ringing with or without us. The change is near.
