Why not “the crisis in Eastern Europe” and “America and Israel’s war on Iran”?
Apparently, some wars have perpetrators, but others simply occur naturally.
Russia’s war in Ukraine and the crisis in the Middle East pose major threats to energy and food supplies, trade and freedom of navigation.
Maritime routes are global lifelines.
At the G20 Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Atlanta, I called for a Black Sea freedom of navigation arrangement and reaffirmed the EU’s opposition to tolls and fees on international shipping routes.
Energy security and supply chain resilience are vital for global economic stability.

As I’ve said a thousand times, if we’re holding hockey teams to a standard based on their countries actions that’s fine but it has to apply to everyone. This is objectively the right decision. Unless they’d like to kick the States out too.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport has ordered the International Ice Hockey Federation to readmit Russian national teams immediately, overturning the ban imposed after Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
The ruling covers 2026-27 events, including the men’s World Championship in Germany, the World Juniors, and women’s and under-18 tournaments. CAS claims to have found insufficient evidence for the IIHF’s security concerns.

The real problem for the West and its mainstream media is that Trump's wife orchestrated this. After telling everyone for years that such a thing was impossible, they have now been exposed. And suddenly, surprise, surprise, the entire media establishment is all over it.
Western media have enabled wars since WW2 with their propaganda, lies and fraudulent reporting. They helped sell these wars to the public and then pretended to be innocent bystanders. What a joke.
But explaining this to the Kyiv and Lviv war tourists is probably a waste of time. They will never understand that the media narrative is not the same thing as reality. Especially when they have spent so long confusing the two.
Residents of Oleshky who decided to evacuate to Ukraine have flown from Russia’s Anapa to Belarus’s Gomel, according to Russia’s MoD.
They are being transported by Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft, accompanied by Ukrainian Ombudsman Lubinets.
From Gomel, they are expected to be taken by bus to Ukrainian-controlled territory.

As a Canadian, and one who loves hockey, the thought of Russia being allowed back into the ice hockey world championships is absolutely appalling. The thought of them coming into Canada is downright abhorrent and should be blocked for security reasons alone. @Safety_Canada
