Jon Ossoff, my fellow Democratic millennial in the Senate, is the badass Senator Georgia deserves. The volunteers I met in this state aren't just fighting to re-elect him and keep Georgia on the right path; they're fighting to elect a Democratic majority and change the course of our country's history. I'm excited to see their hard work pay off in November when @ossoff and I can welcome a new Democratic majority to Washington.

I might cry, it's so beautiful 😭 Cindy Hyde-Smith claimed that Scott Colom wouldn't be able to draw a crowd without her there. And I saw someone say that Pete Buttigieg wouldn't get a warm welcome in Mississippi. Boy were they wrong. 🙌
WOW - 1000+ people for @PeteButtigieg and @scott_colom in a RED district in Mississippi. This video doesn’t even do justice to the energy in the room right now 🔥

Just a casual reminder that Germans who “didn’t bother to vote” in 1932 didn’t get a chance again until 1946, after Hitler’s death. — There’s a lesson there.

Bolsonaro reportedly left Brazil without his passport and fled to the US. If he wants to come into this country, he should do it the right way. Legally, with the proper papers. If not, he should be turned over to ICE.

Immediately after Meta meddled unsuccessfully in the Brazilian election on behalf of Bolsonaro, this happens in Florida:
Hey @Meta 👋We are currently hosting a get-out-the-vote rally in Osceola County, home to a large Puerto Rican community, and our #LatinosConAngie @instagram page was suddenly taken down while we were actively posting content from the event. This page is a critical communication tool for reaching Latino voters and mobilizing our community. With just seven days until Election Day, every minute matters. We are calling on Meta to immediately restore the page and provide an explanation for its removal. Voters deserve access to critical election information, especially in these final days. @andymstone

The Trump administration is considering lifting sanctions on Russia’s sovereign wealth fund, the Russian Direct Investment Fund, according to The New York Times. A U.S. official confirmed the administration is assessing the fund’s application for removal “through established procedures” as part of an effort to “improve U.S.-Russia relations and help end the war.” A final decision has not yet been made. The Biden administration sanctioned the fund after Russia’s 2022 invasion, calling it a “slush fund” for Putin. People familiar told the Times that Russian officials pushed for relief in talks over the fund’s role in shipping Russian diesel to the U.S., after Trump suspended sanctions on Russian diesel October 9th. Treasury considers the fund already authorized to handle diesel and is running the normal removal process separately. This would follow earlier actions taken by President Donald J. Trump with respect to Russian sanctions. On October 16th, President Trump signed an order waiving the duties and most of the sanctions provisions of the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act. On October 21st, as envoy Steve Witkoff met with Putin, Russia released Stephen Hubbard, a 74 year old American held since 2022. President Trump wrote that the U.S. “was not required to give anything in return.” In remarks that day he said the U.S. “gave nothing in exchange.” In a Truth Social post just a few minutes later, he wrote that “if sanctions would have been placed, certainly those negotiations would have come to a complete and total halt." Dear American people: If any of you are called to serve as jurors or grand jurors in a federal case, remember that @AGToddBlanche brags that he has no independence from trump. When you vote, remember that the trump DOJ is enforcing the rule of trump instead of the rule of law.
It was once extremely rare for grand jurors to rebuff prosecutors and turn down a request for an indictment, given that the Justice Department has traditionally sought criminal charges only in cases it expects to win. But prosecutors have become increasingly convinced they will be unable to bring any indictment that is seen as political while Trump is in office. nytimes.com/2026/10/27/us/po…
