The Vong actually illustrate a real problem with the Star Wars EU. They let the Jedi and New Republic triumph so quickly and easily over the Imperial Remnant warlords that they had to invent new and worse threats out of thin air to keep the series going.
Instead of leaning into history and having the galaxy move into a multi-polar era like the Warring States Era or the Crisis of the Third Century they came up with this. You could have had a lot more interesting stories with several persistent Imperial Remnant states that diverged from each other. Like the Pentastar Alignment becoming a hybrid of the CIS and the Empire and Zsinj's empire becoming a hybrid of the Empire, Mandalorians and the crime cartels.
But no, we got this crap because the writers couldn't let any Imperial warlord inflict meaningful defeats on the New Republic and force them into a defensive stalemate.
So I decided to say “screw it” & wrote a little of Jahza’s bio. I plan to write more of it as getting a bio out is quicker than a short story that I’m being lazy with. I think I’ll eventually change the name of his species to something more, “clever”. But until then, next weekend

The wildest plot hole in this entire movie is that the multiverse is infinite, but nobody used basic common sense.
If there are infinite universes, there are endless worlds where Billy and Tommy are completely on their own with no mother in their timeline. Wanda’s entire motive was just being with her kids. America Chavez’s power can take anyone anywhere across the multiverse, meaning she could have easily helped Wanda find a universe where her kids actually needed her.
Instead of doing the obvious thing, the movie ignored its own rules just to force a five-minute boxing match with glowing star portals
Pretty much what everyone is saying. No consistency; plus just constantly being shifting things just cause only to then back track on it due to their inability to commit to whether or not this was a true reboot or just a soft one.

You have to wonder what it'll be like years later. The "you had to be there" idea can only work for so long before you'll have to confront the possibility of the game being made for theorists first and everyone else second. Dess being the Knight means nothing to the latter.
