Emily and I are compiling pizza reviews for all the pizzas in the Greater Richmond Area so I’m gonna record my thoughts here. The scale is for restaurant pizzas so like a “4” is decent pizza. I also firmly believe a 10 doesn’t exist. Please enjoy

Last month, Kirk Herbstreit said he doesn't follow politics or pick sides.
Which was nonsense. Just last week, Herbstreit quietly headlined a fundraising dinner for Alabama's second-biggest PAC.
The next day, it sent $155,000 to Tommy Tuberville.

“Blacks vote same as Americans”
Today is election day in Israel, which is a national holiday. All voting is in person, ID required. No mail-in or absentee ballots. Arabs vote same as Israelis. Contentious process, but it's a democracy-not many of those in this region!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Arab voters are Israeli citizens. Listing them in contrast to Israelis is misconstruing the facts.

You’re missing the point.
When Mahomes struggles, we examine his offensive line, receivers, play-calling and circumstances.
When Herbert struggles, the conversation becomes about why he can’t elevate everyone around him.
Both QBs deserve accountability. Both deserve context. It’s the double standard he’s questioning, not Mahomes’ ability.
Football is a team sport.
I love this show so much, I watch it every single day. But no one except @DannyParkins is objective about Herbert and it drives me crazy

@DannyParkins: “It was a really tough spot for Mahomes so I wanna dig a little deeper into how it went.”
@getnickwright: “That’s literally not what he did. You’re trying to do some funny stupid Justin Herbert or something ridiculous.”
D: “You nailed it! It’s Justin Herbert!" 😭
Did Seahawks expose the Chiefs?

Mahomes facing pressure on 53% of his dropbacks against Seattle absolutely matters.
But look at these other games where QBs faced significant pressure:
Herbert vs NE (2026 playoffs): 68.2% (PFF)
Herbert vs HOU (2025 playoffs): 52.8%
Dak vs SF (2022 playoffs): 48.1%
Allen vs KC (2021 playoffs): 47.4%
Lamar vs BUF (2025 playoffs): 45.2%
Against New England, Herbert was also missing BOTH starting tackles, Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt. He was sacked 6 times.
Also, remember Mahomes against Philadelphia in Super Bowl LIX.
40.5% pressure rate overall. 50% before garbage time (PFF). Six sacks in a 40–22 loss.
Different quarterbacks. Different teams. Same underlying lesson.
We can criticize poor decisions, turnovers and individual performances while acknowledging that protection, coaching and supporting talent affect QB production.
Even the best quarterbacks need help.
Why should Mahomes receive context for offensive struggles while Herbert, Allen, Lamar, Dak and others are judged without it?
Context matters. It’s not an excuse.
One to forget for Kansas City!
The Chiefs had their joint-fewest points (3), fewest Red zone drives (0), and 2nd-fewest yards (213) in any of the 153 games started by Patrick Mahomes, regular season or playoffs.
Mahomes was pressured on 19 of 36 dropbacks (53%), the 4th-highest pressure rate in a game in his career, regular season or playoffs.

This is actually a condescending view of working-class people. I grew up in a working-class immigrant family and we ate at Red Lobster and The Cheesecake Factory for "fancy nights out." But even we understood that the White House should not look like the inside of a Red Lobster. Working-class people are not culturally illiterate just because their experiences are shaped by their limited means.
