You couldn’t make it up. The Eynsham Park & Ride continues to sit unused, costing £10,000 every month in security, maintenance and lighting. Now contractors have asked asked Oxfordshire County Council for an additional £14 MILLION for the A40 improvements, despite work on the main scheme not even getting underway! Meanwhile, further phases of the project have been paused, leaving serious questions about what will actually be delivered.

A lot of people on benefits are better off than workers because they get so many more additional benefits that workers don’t get. It’s wrong that you can be better off on benefits than working. Cars and buses go from Oxford Station down Botley Road for the first time in three years! The project took longer than the construction of The Titanic and saw costs balloon to £237m. Looks good though.

Back in the 70s 80s 90s our town centres were thriving & buzzing with a mixture of independent shops & chain stores & banks. Fast forward to now & town centres are dirty, at least half are empty & the ones that are left are either nail salons, Turkish barbers & vape shops in which most only take cash so presumably they’re not paying correct taxes. Our councils have let our town centres rot where once they thrived.
