Very happy to finally share this. Cortical hyperexcitability in ALS patients & tg mice can be assessed by means of phase-amplitude coupling & is driven by a noradrenergic deficit. Major team effort! Big thanks to Véronique Marchand-Pauvert and the fantastic Caroline Rouaux.
Thrilled to see this one out! Incredible teamwork with Véronique Marchand-Pauvert, @liebscher_lab, and the amazing Caroline Rouaux. Grateful for this wonderful opportunity!

I am very thankful to all who contributed and especially proud of my students Katarina, Courtney and most of all Anna, who developed this project, lifted it off the ground and saw it through to the end!
We developed a B cell-driven EAE model, where B cells provide the critical stimulus for disease development. Our system allows for genetic manipulation of B cells prior to transfer and thus is a tool to investigate B cell pathogenicity.
Very happy to share one of the first works from my lab:
A B cell–driven EAE mouse model reveals the impact of B cell–derived cytokines on CNS autoimmunity | PNAS pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.23…
Via live imaging with @KawakamiLab we show that B cells reactivate T cells in eLFs to maintain proinflammatory T cell effector function!
We analyzed the phenotype of B cells in eLFs and found that they are not only engaged in GC reactions but also show enhanced APC-function.
Very happy to share this preprint from my lab and so proud of my team and collaborators!

👯🪩 For Tomorrow's 2nd ppt #JournalClub Ramojus Balevicius @karolinskainst will discuss a #preprint by the Peters lab @LMU_Muenchen describing a pro-inflammatory role of T:B cell interactions happening in lymphoid follicles-like structures in EAE🧠🧨

Very proud that we could contribute to this beautiful story about innate-like functions of CD4 memory T cells from the Joller Lab!
