Let me describe why people are fed up these days with one small example. It's a little thing but it happens this way all the time. These little things make everyone crazy. OK. So Care Credit is a payment plan for animal care emergencies. They have a policy that you don't pay a high interest rate if you pay your balance off in 90 days. If you don't pay in 90 days, you're required to pay the higher interest not just for the balance remaining after 90 days, but retroactively for the whole balance. I needed to use the service and I paid in total in 90 days. However, they charge $1.50 to send you your account balance by mail. What they did was send me a bill for $1.50 to tell me I had paid my balance off, except for this $1.50 fee to tell me I had paid them off, they then tried to tell me that because I had a $1.50 balance I owed them all the interest on the 90 day loan. I spent an hour disputing this and I got it taken care of, but this is just one of several shivs I've had to deal with this month and every month. No one answers the phone, no one knows who's in charge of solving your issue, the give you wrong information, no one has any authority to change anything...it's maddening. I don't know how we fix this, but I know very few people can spend hours on the phone straightening out these issues and they seem to count on that. ENOUGH! No one can do this endless fight. As if things weren't expensive enough now every business is out to grab even more of your money just for doing business with them.
