A huge thank-you to the DPX Dirtbags baseball team for thinking of our department yesterday and delivering a generous meal and care package for our dispatchers and officers!
We’re fortunate to serve such a thoughtful and generous community. We truly appreciate you thinking of our team and showing your support!
Reported burglaries in Lebanon decreased by 48% in 2025 compared to 2024, continuing a downward trend that began in 2020. Since then, reported burglaries have declined by 75%.
This progress comes as Lebanon’s population has grown by nearly 39% over the last five years, according to census data.
These results reflect the ongoing efforts of our officers to prevent crime through proactive patrols, increased visibility, and a consistent presence in our neighborhoods and business districts.
Even as our community continues to expand, we are seeing the reduction of crime in several areas.
Public safety is a shared commitment between our citizens, our officers, and the entire community.
Through partnership, communication, and continued support, we can work together to prevent crime and keep Lebanon a safe place to live, work, and visit.

We love responding to flying ghosts and skeletons as much as any other department, but please remember to secure your outdoor Halloween decorations, patio furniture, and trash cans ahead of tomorrow’s weather!
The remnants of Isaias are expected to bring gusty winds and rain to our area tomorrow morning. The National Weather Service is forecasting 1–3 inches of rainfall, and we’ll be closely monitoring flood-prone areas as a precaution.
The threat of severe weather is low, but any thunderstorms that develop could produce a brief, spin-up tornado.
With the potential for severe weather, make sure you have a reliable way to receive weather alerts. You can sign up for our text alert system at LebanonPD.org/alerts.
And if you’re traveling home from the beach today, drive safely! We hope you’ve had a great trip, and we’ll see you back home soon.
Today would be a good day to secure any loose outdoor objects or inflatable Halloween decorations. Remnants of Hurricane Isaias will move through this weekend, bringing windy and rainy conditions to all of Middle TN.
Earlier today, our Special Operations Division executed a search warrant at a residence on Victor Ave. as part of an investigation into the illegal sale and distribution of narcotics within the City of Lebanon.
The investigation centered on a 47-year-old Lebanon man who is a convicted felon.
During the execution of the search warrant, investigators discovered approximately 76 grams of suspected crack and powder cocaine. Several hydrocodone and oxycodone pills were also located.
Multiple charges against the individual are pending at this time.
We appreciate the dedicated and coordinated efforts of our officers and investigators as they continue working to keep dangerous drugs out of our community!
We’re extremely excited to announce the promotion of David Sofer to Detective!
David has proudly served the citizens of Lebanon since 2022. Prior to his promotion, David served as a patrol officer. While on patrol, he was a member of our S.W.A.T. Team and served as a Crime Scene Technician.
We’re confident Detective Sofer will excel in his new role and look forward to the positive impact he will continue to have as he investigates crimes and serves the citizens of Lebanon.
