AIPAC is ending endorsements and direct PAC giving, but the PAC gave only about $3m this cycle vs $90m from its members. This helps them shed the toxic brand while keeping UDP, its super PAC, which spent $30m in just one primary. “Rejecting AIPAC money” now means a bit less since the funds can easily arrive without AIPAC’s official name.

• The “Normal People” stars, along with Jessie Buckley and numerous other artists, signed an open letter stating: “Sally Rooney is a writer, not a terrorist. Her books must be available to the public.”
• Last year, Rooney pledged to use her book royalties to support Palestine Action, a pro-Palestinian group designated as a terrorist organization by U.K. authorities.
• Rooney now says efforts to publish her work in the U.K. “could now constitute a serious criminal offence.”

Today, Brad Lander, rabbis, and other New Yorkers accompanied Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest. For that, they were detained by the Israeli government.
Harvesting olives is not illegal. The occupation is.
I am thankful that Brad has been released. But other New Yorkers remain detained, and they must be released immediately.
The same Israeli government detaining them has committed a horrific genocide against Palestinians, killing more than 74,000 people over the last few years alone.
The detention of these New Yorkers must end. The occupation must end. The genocide must end.
One thing that I think is happening in most chapters is that more militant members eventually leave or barely participate out of frustration dealing with their own chapter’s pro-electoralism right. Eventually the chapter becomes a most left-wing Democratic Party electoral machine

Manga is insanely diverse. There’s something for everyone. I’ve read Blue Period, Dinosaur Sanctuary and CSM. Marvel and DC do not even come close to this range of diversity

It's how the bigger Manga industy has more variety than the comic book industry.
You could say that most manga out there is isekai slop power fantasy, but you could also easily avoid the whole crop and still be a manga enjoyer. If you hate superheroes, welp. Store won't have it.
