Next time you see someone rolling their eyes at praise of Wirtz’s work rate, remember how toothless Liverpool’s press looks without him.
Gravenberch currently struggling to bring even 1/4th of the required intensity/sharpness.

Wonder what the team will look like tomorrow:
Mamardashvili, Araujo, Gomez, Van Dijk, Tsimikas, Gravenberch, Nyoni, Gakpo, Wirtz, Ngumoha, Koumas
Something like that?

💬 𝗤𝗨𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗦 - Andoni Iraola on whether the changes made during the match will help the squad cope better:
"Each game has different demands. You have to analyse not only which players can be rested, but also who can perform well against LASK and help us win."
"You also have to consider which players can help us against Brentford. Then, three days after Brentford, we play Villarreal in another very difficult Champions League match. We will need more than 11, 12 or 13 players, won’t we?"

Football is hard to love right now.
You wait 3 weeks for it to return, only to watch your side succumb due to a combination of injuries sustained on international duty, an inept refereeing performance and ultimately lose against a team that shouldn’t even be allowed to play.

Lads, we've been found guilty and the punishments are inevitable anyway.
Let's double down on the crimes by lying to players about a fake rebuild “project.”
Let's nuke the transfer market for everyone by spending £116m on Anderson, £100m on 18-year-old Bouaddi, and £125m on Enzo Fernández.
Absolutely a cancer of a club. Wipe them off the face of the earth.
Manchester City were first informed that they had been found guilty of more than 100 breaches of the Premier League's financial rules in the summer.
Sources told ESPN club chiefs were initially made aware of the findings of the independent panel in July. It was followed by an aggressive approach in the summer transfer window, during which seven senior signings arrived at the Etihad Stadium at a cost of more than £450 million…

Frimpong would look out of place in a Sidemen charity match let alone a Premier League game.

How good is that. Proper catchy tune with a touch of Sicilly mixed in. Watch out @JamieWebster94
Might catch him in Arkles on match day.

€100m for Ayyoub Bouaddi is insane money. Whilst a breakout young star of the World Cup, he has played only 63 games for Lille, 8 for Morocco. He still hasn't scored a goal at senior level - not one!
Also demonstrative of clubs like City who inflate the market & can pay huge sums of cash up front in deals because they've cooked the books to do it. It completely skews the market for everyone else.
It continues to be a disgrace & stain on the sport that we are completely numb to their cheating, decades of corruption & financial doping. 1,253 days & counting while we wait for the justice.
🚨 Man City pushing hard for Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille. High among 18yo’s suitors (#PSG not in contention) & while others favour season on loan at #LOSC, #MCFC would integrate now. Price ~€100m + Morocco int’l expected to make decision soon @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7442340…

The hysteria and victim playing by Arsenal fans about the Eze incident is absolutely staggering.
This is not a penalty.
He has no control over the ball, plants his foot waiting for some kind of contact that didn't come, then flings his left leg round and goes down theatrically.

Let’s clear up the false Gakpo / Diaz comparison.
Gakpo signed his deal at 25 & scored 18 goals last season. A key player entering his prime. £250k pw is market rate and signing the new deal locks in his transfer value. He’s a £60-80m asset.
Diaz - he’s 29, got little resale value and WANTED the transfer. A TOP player but £70m was GOOD money.
The problem - we didn’t replace Diaz and foolishly relied on Gakpo to be the LW. The CLUB screwed up. It happens. #LFC
