ALT SEND Funding Event A communication and training session on SEND funding changes for mainstream education providers, parents, and carers in West Northamptonshire. In September 2022, West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) set up a SEND Funding Steering Group. It was made up of representatives from the parent carer forum group, SENCos, and staff from schools, colleges, units, and early years settings. Sub-groups were set up to carry out more detailed reviews for early years settings, mainstream schools, and post-16 settings. The team focused on creating a funding framework that would allow WNC to allocate funds to schools, colleges, units, and early years settings in a more consistent and transparent way. The framework includes changes to funding administration, funding criteria, and funding levels for children and young people aged 0 to 25 with and without EHC Plans. Many of the changes will be rolled out soon. So WNC will be hosting a SEND Funding Update Event on: Tuesday 12th March

ALT How do you feel about the new SEND Local Offer West Northants website? We are doing a 2nd phase of development on the Local Offer pages of the website, and we are looking for the opinions of the people that use the site. We would love to capture your thoughts and feelings on the Local Offer pages, how you use them, how you approach different elements of the pages, and any challenges you may face with them. We expect that this will be a 30-minute meeting, which we will hold on MS Teams. We’ll ask you to share your screen so we can watch you use the website. We’ll ask some questions about it as we go. We're just looking to get real-life experiences from real-life users so we can understand (1st-hand) what is good and what needs to improve. If you have 30 minutes to spare, please book into the Local Offer Phase 2 calendar using the link below. Kate and Beyza will meet you on Teams at the time slot you have chosen.
